Default Parole Attorneys and Parole Packets--should I still make my own? KATH?

Ok, I am receiving help in obtaining parole for my husband. My question is, Do I still make out a parole packet ( I already have one which is almost complete) or do I let them do this? I just want to make sure that all the information is in it. Kath? This might be a question for you.

Hey Sonny's Honey

I dont see why it wouldnt hurt for you to do one as well - You may want to talk to the Parole Lawyer and make sure that they are including everything in it - sometimes what they might think is "not needed" May make a difference - Just a thought anyway

Im sure Kath will be along soon

Hugs,

ummmm...welll.....I'm thinking.....if you are paying for this "help" (and I'm sure it ain't cheap)....GET THEM TO DO IT. You supply the info, and final proofing rights (make sure you see it before they send it). I would think this would be part of the service they provide...but who knows. If it's not part of what they are doing for you, I would send one on my own. (but then I'd wonder forever...was it the service or my superior packet that brought him home)?!?!?!?!

Are you still working with Bob? Have you asked him about this?

PM me if you need to!!

Competent counsel does not do "packets." They prepare presentations that give the Board member or commissioner something meaningful in the way of analysis.

That said, I would not recommend submitting something separate from the attorney if you have retained someone to actually meet with the Board. Otherwise you run the risk of the Board Office presuming your submission is the materials for their consideration and that they are being submitted in lieu of physical appearance...

Agreed Lyn.....but I don't think it's an attorney....unless she changed what she's doing......

Melinda, call my cell when you get a chance....

I didnt meant that I would submit it separately then the attorney and I do have confidence in the company representing my husband but I am putting together information for him in the "form" of a parole packet. My thought is, they can use it if they want. I just want to make sure that I have all the information.

As we talked this morning - I think you should give the attorney the info that you have - you have excellent support letters and information from many valueable people.....

Just remember 2004 is our year
