Garza Transfer Unit, son transferred from Garza West to Garza East. Why?

My son has been in West for about 6 weeks and was just transferred to the East facility. Does anyone have any idea why they would do that?

routine move. It is basically done once he has cleared intake along with a bunch of others to make room for new incoming inmates.

My husband was also moved from west to east and we are having the same issues with our mail. And he hasn't been able to call either . Does anyone know why?

This is an old thread, Juanita. No one has commented on it in over 3 years. Look at the upper left hand corner of the person who commented before you. She commented on 07-29-16.
It would be better to start your own thread with something like....Garza West on lockdonw, no contact from husband or something of the sort. It would put you in touch with PTO members that are active right now. SOme of the people who responded to this thread are not active on PTO right now.
