I know housing unit 16 didn't get visits this past weekend due to security issues.

does he have paper and prestamped envelopes to write to you? If not, send them to him. And write him to send you a SIGNED visitor form asap because it takes 2 months to get approved

Your loved one would have to contact them. If you have any issues you can take it to the IFC members, yes, I'm one of them.

As far as I know the whole prison is on modified program during the week. As far as building 16 they were the only ones without visits this past weekend. I haven't received any word for this weekend. usually I hear on Firday's.

You're loved one should know who they are and if they are in the visiting room you can talk to them during that time. Most definitely have your LO maintain opened dialogue with him as well.

Mine sent one out immediately. He made certain to stock up on paper, envelopes,& stamps before he left county because out is not readily available to them.

hello ladies
so i just found out my love is getting sent to CMC...my question is:
are visitor forms for all CA prisons the same?
He sent me an extra signed visitor form and im wondering if i can send it to CMC to be approved for a visit sooner...how soon can I send it? Should I do it now or wait until he's transferred?

thanks in advance!

You do not need to apply to every facility he gets transferred to. Once you have been approved you are on his visitors list. You may be asked to update your visitor form from time to time, the facility will let you know when. Good luck at CMC!

So I heard staff is trying to take a vote/poll visitors so they can change the visiting schedule so we will only see our loved ones every other weekend! Vote NO to a rotating visiting schedule!!! Vote NO on changing contact visit to by appointment only!!! I want to be able to see my man every saturday, saturday, and approved holiday without worrying about if it falls on my weekend or having to schedule an appointment

Yup there were ballots issued today. I did my part and said leave things the way they are. I know that its the consensus from facility A. We have been dealing with 1 visiting room for the entire yard and have made it work. There is NO reason to make the drastic changes proposed.

I voted to leave them as they are now. I only get to go one day a weekend and I'd hate that the day I could go may end up being the day we can't visit.

Probably newer visitors that are frustrated with being terminated due to over crowding.

Really, I think a more efficent option would be to just add a day or two but still keep the limit of 2 visit days a week per inmate. Not only would such an option benefit the inmates and visitors, but it would also help to keep CO's jobs.
