Has anyone had a Family Visit recently. Hoping someone can answer questions, or if you know of anyone that has mentioned if they have gotten any better at running them more frequently as the last post was over a year ago
1. Is the family coordinator helpful and do you know their name and/or extension
2. How many family visiting rooms are there
3. How often on average do you get the visits
4. What days are the visits ran for
5. Check in/our procedures if anything special or weird.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello. Did you ever have a family visit or get answers to your questions? I am waiting for our family visit to be scheduled, and have the same questions as you do. Any information would be very helpful. Thank you

Hi......

Does anyone on PTO get family visits here or know of someone that does?!?...

Are you able to inquire or know the following answers ?!?....

What days of the week do they run?!?

How often, every 30, 45, 60 days?.

Any information would be appreciated, please.

Family visits at RJD start Thursday AM or Saturday AM. It was every 45-60 days. With the passing of lifers now able to have family visits, it's a 3-5 month wait for a new date. The FV coordinator that has been doing it was very thorough and helpful, however, a new FV coordinator is starting this week, so I have no idea how things will go from here on out.

Thank you for responding. That's a long time on a FV date. It sounds like they hardly have any family visiting units running?!?.

Thank you once again.

Hello, my husband is set to transfer from LAC. Does any one know if we will have to re apply for our family visiting, will it be the same or similar process as when we first applied for FV? We have FV at LAC and I am worried that moving to new prison will require us to re-apply for FV. Applying at LAC was a nightmare. Does any one know the process for applying for FV at Donovan?
Thank you

Unfortunately your husband will have to reapply on a CDC 1046 for a FV. He would submit his request to his/her counselor.

God Bless.

usually yes depending on what the 115 is, call the counselor and ask. Your husband should also be notified if that is the case.

Exclamation Family Visiting

Loved ones,
Please be sure to track your family visiting package and take the print out with you to family visit. Family visit will be cancelled if your package isn't there. Most likely it's there and not in the right place for pick up by the family visiting coordinator. The printout should help them locate your package.
