Default Asatru Rediscovery

Hi all,

I've recently "Rediscovered" Asatru, the old Norse faith, and have attempting to integrate it into my life. It may sound ridiculous. I come from a Catholic background. I went to Catholic grade school, high school, and college, studying a significant amount of world religions in the process. I consider myself a reasonable person and have settled on this faith. Heathen branches are often disrespected because of the intricate portrayal of a vast array of deities. The deities conception is seen as completely different by everyone. There is simply no more to say on that matter.

I have a serious addiction issue (it's behavioral, not substance) and as a fairly common and human problem, I'm looking for s support outlet from this religion. Being a reconstructed religion with a low number of adherents poses a problem, obviously, but there are always a few sources out there to guide.

If anyone has any experience with spiritual support in Asatru, or Pagan/Heathen branches in general, I'd love to be in touch or hear your perspectives.

Thank you.
