Default Knitting, crochet or other fiber arts

Anyone knit, crochet, or do other fiber arts like spinning yarn, weaving, etc? Post here.

I'm making this hat, I said.
I've never kept anything I've made for myself, I said.
I'm keeping it for myself, I said.

I made the mistake of showing it to Grandpa (I live with him.) He claimed it. First thing I have ever knitted that he has liked.

Time to make another.

I know how to do all of the above, I can take the fiber from a sheep or cotton, spin it into yarn, dye it, knit, crochet, or weave it into a variety of objects. I can also sew and cross stitch and embroidery.

I can not really do either, unless you want to call using a knifty knitter knitting. lol.
I have the basics of crochet, but I simply cannot make the stitches even. Ever.

Using the cheater knitter Ive made a few scarves and a few hats.
I may try again here soon, but I'll have to relearn how to use the knitter thingy.

I don't knit, I tried once and hated it, but have been crocheting since I was about 6. My grandmother taught me. I also do cross stitch, a little embroidery, inkle loom weaving, and can sew just about anything. My middle child was allergic to polyester when she was a baby, and at that time you couldn't find kids clothes that didn't have it in them, so I had to learn so I could make hers out of 100% cotton.

I started out with just a few, but I was actually trying to sell the A-frame swings. I was just selling off the left over shirts from making some for me to wear.
