Thank you Noora and Nessy I appreciate the welcome. My goal is to help others with this unGodly injustice system. If I help just one person then I have met my goal.

Just realised I never introduced myself here;
I have a few pen pals, been writing most of them for years. Two of them on DR. Officially I live in Amsterdam but half the year I live out of a suitcase in other peoples homes where I help them get used to life with a new baby. Making communications with my pals a bit complicated at times as mail needs forwarding etc and that takes time. Than again, they get lots of postcards from all over! And when I am home I have a lot of time to write long letters and lots of stories to share.
Have one grown up daughter, addicted to good coffee, love chocolate, always have fresh flowers in my home and a sock on the (knitting) needles in my bag (as well a small writing pad).

Hey all, I'm new here i posted my first post in the Holman Bit, but thought i would come along as introduce my self here on the DR bit.

So far i'm waiting for a letter back from someone on DR in Holman Unit.
So i don't really have anyone yet.... But this forum has really helped me esp on the mail restrictions etc and what can be sent, also about transfering money to help with postage! ( As the lady in the postoffice here just looked at me when i asked her about international money orders! Typical huh!!)
I can see Prison Talk as being my very good friend over the weeks and years to come!
Fingers crossed he writes back to me again ;o)

Oh...I completely forgot...SORRY!!!!!
Hi to all of you again, hi to jules, nice to have you here!!!!!
I am living in Europe and I have a loved one on Texas Death Row and two Pen-Pals on DR in Alabama and Florida. Since they stepped into my life everything changed. But - it changed in a good way. I know more about the value of life now. I have learned alot. And I am very, very thankful to meet such precious people inside the walls and outside, especially at PTO.

Honestly, I could have sworn I introduced myself here Brain like a sieve

I write to 3 DR inmates (so far...the list seems to be expanding by itself ) and finding PTO, posting here and learning here has been an absolute bolt from the blue. I'm slowly adjusting and learning and I am so glad to have met you all

Hello, I don't think I have done this here yet. My husband and his brothers are incarcerated and my youngest brother-in-law received two death sentences this year. I had been on PTO for awhile when this happened, but came to this forum after his trial. He is 22 years old.

My name is Mary and I live in Michigan. I unexpectedly found PTO at a time when I was crushed by our son's sentence to prison. But since I have come to PTO, I've found a whole 'nother world that seems to need a bit of cheer and a drop of encouragement. I can give that. God has a plan for all of us and maybe this was part of His plan for me. In any case, here I am. My husband is very supportive and keeps me in stamps and ink. I think my son in prison imagines I've toppled over into a barrel of rum to be writing DR inmates. But I believe this is the right thing to do. It's opened up a side of life I had ignored for way too long. I'm trying to make up for that now. I enjoy all of your comments and wish you a wonderful weekend. God bless you!

Mary

I think my intro was in the lost data.
I have been on PTO for a couple of years because my husband is incarcerated. In March, his brother was given 2 death sentences here in Oklahoma, so I started visiting the CP forum as well. My BIL just turned 23. He was convicted with no forensic evidence, just the word of a co-def that made a pretty amazing deal before trial (4 yrs in the making) and the co-def still hasn't even been sentenced for "accessory after the fact".

I have a PP in Parchman Mississippi, one in Angola Louisiana, and another (new) in Polunsky Texas. I also have a guy serving 108 years in Indiana. I have worked around DP cases for about 12+ years. I am so anti DP, if ever I visited the states I would be arrested
I campaign to have the DP abolished, I also work to improve conditions, in general. Next year I have a couple of other projects I want to start.
I am also looking to set up an innocence web site, for DR inmates.
I am a member of Amnesty International, and have been for quite some time. I also help distribute a legal newsletter, which we now have going into most DR, across the US. I now and again write articles for that.
I also research DR cases, although I plan to cut that down, once I finish the cases I have now. I wish there were 100 hours in a day
I live in England U.K. and although new(ish) to P.T.O. come on here every day without fail, for information, and inspiration, from some of the strongest woman, I have ever met in my life!

I am sorry, I have never introduced myself here as of yet. My friend is on death row at Polunsky and I have been there a few times to visit him from Europe. I am absolutely against the death penalty and I am really upset about the conditions the inmates on Texas death row are living under. So whenever there are some activities or other actions that need to be done you can count me in for doing all I can to do my part in trying to improve conditions there and elsewhere and also to fight for the abolition of the death penalty.
