Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

Hi. I have not been on his section of the forum,, my husband was in prison in Texas. I was on the forums for help and support then, so when faced with this situation I came here for help. We have a company that sells emergency lighting for fire trucks and dept of transportation vehicles. I am looking for someone in Muskogee who could look at an address for me. We have a guy who wants to partner with us and he is promising great things, says he has a contract with the state for their dept of trans vehicles, and wants to put our lights on them. He say he is a US Marshal. We can't find the company nor his name anywhere on google other than on his website. Is there anyone who knows if I can find out whether this guy is actually a US Marshal? Anyone is Muskogee who can go by the address to see if there is actually a shop there? Seems kinda strange to us that we cannot find any info about him, and would hate to send thousands of dollars of lights to a fraud. Thank you very much for any help you can give.

Ask for proof of all these wonderful things. Ask to see his credentials and his badge. If he cannot provide these things. Call the US Marshals. It's illegal to pose as one when you aren't. Proceed with caution.

What about the marshalls Office. my cousin is a Marshall & I call the Office & ask to speak with him. They would say there is noone by that n name if he was not really a Marshall

He told us that the Marshals do not give out info as to whether or not he is one, because bad guys might get it..... You say they do? Thanks.

Call them and let them know what he said. Tell them you suspect that he is just posing as a US Marshal. They don't look too kindly to that and even if he's a real Marshal (which I do doubt), he's using the Marshal's office to get non-Marshal jobs. They aren't too crazy about that, either.

He says he cannot send us a copy of his contract with dept of trans because that is a govt contract and he is not allowed to share it. He says that he cannot show us his credentials without permission from his boss since he is not involved with us in his official capacity. I know that when we have a contract with some of the local volunteer departments sometimes we take it to the bank to get funding, and we show them the contract.... They have never said that is was illegal to show it to them, but they are a financial entity.... I know, that is why we are kinda scratching our heads, but what would he do with 15,000 worth of emergency lighting? Not a big quick turn around market, and a VERY small community, not many dealers around. He seems to have come into the picture in April of 2011. We know that he buys things from some companies, but at the same time, the companies he buys from say that he does not buy much. All of a sudden, he has a government contract?

Well, that sure tells me something about him and it ain't too good. Call the Marshals and tell them you thinkm this guy is impersonating a Marshal. Let them deal with and you don't you give him a cent.

You might try Muskogee Chamber of Commerce, if you haven't already done so -- they usually know every business, who is involved & all general information about any company within their specific area.
