Unhappy Is it normal to not hear from my bf at all while he's in Shock?

I know he can't call until July 27, and I can't visit him until Aug 4, but I check jpay probably every half an hour to see if he sent an email and he hasn't since July 7..

I've sent him stamps and put money on his books and everything so I know he has the resources. If he really can't email me, I understand that, but I just want to know if this is a normal occurrence amongst everyone/most with a loved one in this type of program. Thank you xx

I was incorrect in my first post. I got this off the website:

"NYS DOCCS is pleased to announce the expansion of the Secure Messaging Pilot Program, for communication between incarcerated individuals and their family and friends, to four (4) additional locations. Lakeview SICF and Willard DTC will be implemented on Wednesday, July 3rd. Moriah SICF and Edgecombe RTF will be implemented on Tuesday, July 9th. As previously announced, the Secure Messaging Program is already available at Albion, Bedford Hills, and Taconic Correctional Facilities, and Adirondack and Hudson Adole"

So, shock was added, but after the 7th for Moriah. The 1st 2 weeks are hell weeks, so the chances of contract are slim. They go from 5am to 9 pm.straight with s highly structured, exhausting day.

I know you're freaking out,but this process is a blessing in disguise. If he graduates, he could come home early. You won't know until 2 weeks before. If not he finishes his sentence. Many do not get this opportunity. Mine was medically disqualified. So breathe or the next few months will be torture.

You're not abnormal. Watch YouTube videos on the program and you'll get to see a little bit about what the program is like. It'll help wrap your mind around it more.
