Default Some drug tickets being thrown out

It appears that NYS DOCCS is going to be forced to expunge many of the drug tickets regarding the use of suboxone. I am hearing that the drug test they were using created significant false positives. That would seem to create a lot of issues regarding Parole decisions, loss of programs and FRP visits.

I can't locate anything to substantiate that NY DOC is going to be forced to expunge many of the drug tickets regarding the use of suboxone.

Can you please provide a linked source? Thanks!

They are expunging many drug tickets with K2. The compounds change from day to day. Drugs still contraband. And the guys are still burning their brains out for a high from unknown chemmies.

Yes, I believe ya'll are telling the truth, but is there anything from DOC confirming what they're doing & why? They aren't always "open" about what they do / don't do or why

It’s article regarding the decriminalization of Marijuana in NYS. The trickle down to ticket involving synthetic and non synthetic marijuana.

Ms Sunny, thanks for trying....there are many artcles, too many for me to read through in one sitting. I did locate the bill (HERE), suboxone isn't mentioned. And if synthetic and non synthetic marijuana was mentioned, I skimmed over it looking for suboxone. What does synthetic and non synthetic marijuana have to do with suboxone and DOC?

They havenít been expunging suboxone tickets to my knowledge. They are running pilot program of residential ASAT, with methadone distribution.
We just started this MAT program.

Here is an article most likely in the pilot program.
Other stuff I couldn't find. It may not be fully public knowledge.

Since marijuana is now decriminalized they are going back to expunge those charges. Suboxone I haven't read anything about yet.

I'm afraid I can only say that I have spoken to current staff. It appeared that there might be an issue when I was still working. There were some inmates who were adamant that they had not used even though they had come up positive. My apologies if I shouldn't have posted this.
