Default New law for long sentences?

I recently joined this site and will like to know if anyone know anything about a new law for inmates serving long sentences with aggravated years. Or is there anything that is on the table for inmates that qualify with good behavior, and have completed some courses ect, ect. while incarcerated.I will appreciated any information you might have. Thank You

In many sessions of #TxLege, there are proposals put out there to allow a legislator to say "hey, I tried..." but they rarely even make it out of committee. Keep in mind also that changes to parole eligibility tend to be prospective, not retroactive. Do not hold your breath waiting for any sort of a return to old-law mandatory supervision.

The reality is that the Legislature has no real interest in reducing the amount of time to be served by an aggravated offender. Thus it becomes incumbent upon the aggravated offender to follow the rules and participate in any and all programming they can get into in an attempt to better position themselves for when they DO become eligible.
