Default Staph in county

So boyfriend has a staph infection. He had it when he went in and they gave him antibiotics, he took them all, but it is back again and they won't treat it yet. Any suggestions?? They won't even give him bandaids to cover the places. He has had the same blanket for the past 3 weeks. No wonder it's not completely gone. I'm so frustrated!!!

OMG, no wonder its so contagious in there. I know how unbelievably frustrating it is trying to get medical care in there. Hes probably already done this, but has he tried filling out the form to request to be taken to the infirmary to be checked out? Last I heard, it was a week wait to get to the infirmary and you can forget it if its a weekend. My husband got Staph and had basically passed out with fever to get taken in, they ended up sending him to the hospital where he had 2 surgeries.

You can try calling up there and asking to speak with the medical personnel and inform them of what is going on, maybe they will help, I've had good and bad luck. In one case, I finally sent an e-mail to the sherriff through his website and got action that way.....this was after his surgery and return to the jail, they weren't changing his dressings or bringing him food, he couldn't get out of bed to the table to eat, it was like a WWII death camp! They took his wheelchair and told him he could walk....no cane, no walker, just told him to start walking while he was so weak he could barely get out of bed! Good luck, keep us posted.

Forgot to update you all, I called the medical unit and spoke to the nicest nurse. She said she would call him down to medical that night....and she did. He called me the next morning and asked me what I said to her to get him down there....must have been my sweet and concerned voice LOL. Anyway, I'm grateful he was seen. He's all better now!!
