My Brother is Anthony Allen Shore and he is in Polunsky. How do I find out how much time he has left. I dont understand how tcca works the last court records state mandate issued but that was 1/29/2008 and there is nothing else on record.

Have you tried the Texas Dept of Corrections? It is rather clunky but eventually works.

Are you saying that he lost his appeal at the TCCA in 2008? If so, he would have one year to file in federal court. Then there is a period of time waiting for their ruling. If one loses there they go to the 5th Circ. There is no set amount of time though. Each case is different but on average (in TX) it takes 10 years from sentencing to execution. But a lot of things can factor in--including current cases that are being heard by the courts. Sometimes a favorable decision on one will help many other cases. The prison will not have any information to give you about your brother's case or where it is in the system.

How do I find out if that was his last appeal? Or if he has filed with the federal courts?

I'm not finding any results on the 5th circuits site but it is clumsy to use. If you want, you can pm me what facts you have--maybe that will give me a direction to go in. You had mentioned the TCCA so I thought maybe he had just been denied there. The other thing that I would discuss is that you write him. You have to be on his visit list in order to see him so you'll need to check on that. You could also ask him in that letter where he is in his appeals. Send me a PM if you need help with any of these suggestions. Okay? <3
