Default FV Question

Hi, I'm a prison wife at another prison, and am trying to find out if any facilities do 'extended FV's?' We currently have 2 nights with our inmates, but we've heard that maybe you have 3 night stays there? Thanks in advance to anyone who answers

Default fv huts 4 out of 10 being used

4 out of ten of these huts are being used for what they were initially built for and now that the population is way past capacity the waiting will be longer. Who can this matter be brought up to?

I heard there is a possibility for extended family visits. The OP for VSP does mention this possibility, and also the rules and criteria. As far as I know, only inmates who don't get regular familiy visits can get them, and the visitor has to be out of state.

Maybe you can submit this issue to the Family Council?

About how much are we looking at for food?
I'm not rolling in it, so a price range would be nice.

Post Current info for Family Visits?

Hello ladies!

I had a question reguarding Family Visit at VSP. I was reading through the old threads so I wanted a current up-to date information. Are family visit between 30 to 45 days? Do you order food from a store or through the web site for family visit packages?

Thanks!

Visits are every 30 days. You can check in tues and check out thurs or check in Friday and check out Monday. You order food through a vendor. We use Walkenhorst. You order your dairy, fruit, sandwich bread and salad from the prison. Check the IFC site at the prison website. They are great with info for everything and have the fv check in list on what items you can bring in. You are only allowed 2-4oz bottles of liquid to bring in, if ypu wrar contact lenses the solution is a freebie, no body wash only bar soap. Liquid make up must be in a plastic container but this does not count towards the 2 bottles. I found a couple of different brands at Wal Mart. Everything must be factory sealed. They also have a "library" of movies you can choose from to watch. Enjoy your visit.

Talking Family Visits at VSP Chowchilla

Has anyone here had family visits at VSP Chowchilla? If so I had a couple of questions as my husband and I have never had a& family visit because he's a lifer with parole. I have heard if you and up with a visit during the week you get 3 nights and weekend is 2 nights. Also, are there stoves inside the apts or is it microwaves. Do we get to being shampoo etc or does that have to be ordered as well as food? Thank You in advance to anyone that can answer these questions!!!!
