My wife met and married an ex-con and she is a teacher with a Bachelors Degree in education. I am the ex-con that she married and I have two AAS degrees I got while I was incarcerated.

I'm not so sure education is a reliable barometer for successful relationships. I think how people treat each other is.

I think education is a tool for living, sometime to survive.
Not a thing bragging around, but it's easier than learn how to live on street.
But learning is fun, makes me insightful, and in my case, now I can talk with you here.(even My grammar is mess lately)

Fellow B.A Political science Cubanmom,

Even I'm just a penfriend of inmate in DR,I can't talk it to my family.
one peculiar reason is My Uncle was police officer, and my friend's crime involved police officer's death.(MY friend is directly not responsible..)It's very emotional.
I didn't take criminal law's class,even It's Japanese criminal law,I regret it now..

Hoping your son come back soon and have new amazing life.

Real Checker,orリアルチェッカー?

I remember one company I called for my job interview.
His voice suddenly changed when I told him I'm not living in hometown, alone in Tokyo.
(There is strange custom in old companies in Japan. They used to avoid female living alone.)
Then,I felt This is how those people-divide people with name of school or living with parent or male or female.--Is just keeping busy himself to put label others.

I really admire your fighting.
Best of luck for you two!

I have thought about a business degree, but I am not sure does anyone have any ideas. If I wanted to go into business for myself would any bank actually give me a loan.

I went ahead and chose Female - Graduated High School

I'm currently in a Community College right now taking courses and I've almost got my Associates though. After my Associates I'd like to go and get my Bachelors in Dietetics & Nutrition. I love school but I don't think any less of people who don't attend.

I have 3 degrees:

B.S. - English
M.S. - Education
EdS. - School Administration and Supervision

My husband is in the system, and he is VERY well educated and intelligent. So be it! I love him... he made a mistake. So be it! At the end of the day, YOU have to be happy.

Not only are the partners of inmates often well educated, in many instances so too are offenders......check out this site, convicts who successfully graduated with PhD's in Criminology and are now setting a "new" agenda in the study of criminology,
