This is without a doubt the best possible chance we will have. We are going into full commutation and attempting to use asthma as a way to get her out. There will never be a better time than now.

I don't think mine is getting a ticket anymore. I originally thought perhaps, but i'm just thinking they will let her cook out the time. Just doesn't seem like the state wants to do another wave of releases from news lately.

Looks like they rejected another plea for release. I think they are maintaining the policy to not test as much as possible. They gave out 22000 masks. My girl got one and she said as soon as she put it on, she started itching, then after a few hours her face broke out in bad hives around the area. Now she is wearing a bandana. I think that this mask handout is what they said was the appropriate defense that negated the need to release more inmates.
Messed up thing is while this is going on, they cannot program and earn time off that they previously were. My girl was set to earn 20 days off and now she wont. So essentially for her not only are they not getting released early, they are losing opportunities to earn good time.

It's just one damned thing after another, isn't it? Stay strong! That gate's going to swing open!

Yep. But at the end of the day it is all about the $$$. Always has been. Some I can see not releasing. Others....not so much.
The Prison Union-Politician Complex is alive and thriving. Unions donate to "tough on crime" politician's campaigns. Politicians make sure Graybar Hotel occupancy rate remains at around 100%, protecting union jobs and keeping donations flowing.

Yep. Especially the privately owned prisons. They are the worse.

I don't know much about them. I remember (federal) BoP was talking about cancelling contracts with private incarceration companies a while back. I guess the union won that battle.
I read today they were exploring moving inmates in California to private prisons to alleviate the social distancing instead of early releases. I know a few more outbreaks like LAC and CIM and they will be in big trouble!!!

Seems like that will just give the virus additional target areas to infect. No prison will ever be as safe a place from contagious disease as a home.

Problem with private jails is they are garbage. Read up on the one in Virginia. Hampton Roads Regional Jail. You will be amazed what has happened and continues to happen in there. My wife spent a year in that cesspool until her sentencing and got move to a DOC facility. Actually much better. I literally cussed out the place every visit and know me being the way I was got her out of there quickly. LOL They absolutely don't even care in those private jails. All about the $$$ for them. Again - Look up what I said and decided for yourself. Take care.
Just heard news they are sending a lot of girls to my girls camp soon. I don’t know what the deal is but they never send 15-20 at a time so something is definitely up. Either there is an outbreak or something. They are generally only transferring girls to camp if they complete the classes and physical test and they don’t ever send that many. Wondering if they are shuffling them around for some reason other than qualifying them.

Maybe they're evacuating healthy gals to make room to quarantine sick ones.

My best hope is this is the biggest graduate class and they are all actually assigned to camp legit. If its a evacuation thing, I pray they are not exposed of course since no symptoms and they have only reported to have tested 13 people there at CIW where they train for camp.

Fingers crossed that they know what they're doing!
Obviously I am not involved romantically with my one-time LO. But one of our good friends that I connected with through her is getting out some time in October, her release date moved up due to COVID and them trying to get people filtered out of the prisons and programs. Originally was scheduled for next January.
These releases are happening.

He told me this last week that they are implementing and additional 12 weeks credit for certain inmates. I'm guessing this "covid credit" is in part to help with thinning the population inside.

8000 non violent people to be released over the next few months. There are 3 waves. I dont remember the specific details
