Default Not sure if this is the right place to post it but here it is.

Husband is eligible for getting resentenced because of prop 47
Hey girls so my husband got a letter from his public defender and it said that he was eligible for getting resentenced because of prop 47. Has anyone else's love one gotten a letter? Does anybody know what the next step is? He already filled out the ppaperwork and sent it back on sunday. How long could it take to hear back? Have any of your love ones mention anything about it I heard that in another facility they already started releasing inmates. How bout this one? I guess its the waiting game again. I'm just so anxious to find out I'm really hoping and praying that he'll be home sooner than expected.

That's AWESOME!!! I hope it works our for you and your family. What a nice Christmas present.

He needs the Public Defenders office to file a petition on his behalf. I would contact the PD's office your fiancé was convicted out of.

I also found this, on another thread. These instructions are for Sac County.
I bet there are instructions for the county he was convicted in too.

I hope this helps. Good luck and congrats on this news.

Hey Nica thanks so much for the info and I'll look through the PDF as soon as i get home. And i know it was the best gift ever I just hope he hears from them soon because he sent in the paperwork last week. And he was sentenced in the Santa Ana court which is always full so hope they have enough people to get things moving and review their cases asap. Oh and guess what we got our date already so in a few more days will be married. On the 27th of December !yay! So he'll finally be my lawfully wedded husband
