Default Printable cards

There are websites (like American Greetings) that have printable cards. If these were printed on regular paper and sent in a plain white envelope, do you think they would be rejected by the mail room? There would be no cardstock involved.

It depends on the facility. I made my own Christmas cards in color on plain paper. I sent to several friends in various facilities with no problem.

I was thinking of decorating a letter for valentines and sending it , then its a letter rather than a card. I hate that we cant send greeting cards but I guess we have to improvise.

They won't accept hand made cards either. My granddaughter sent one and they rejected it. Dumb...

My lil granddaughter made a card for my husband me for our wedding and we had to send a picture of it we couldn’t send the card. It’s such a shame it was just her drawing .

The JPay cards suck though. So generic.

They do but they look ok printed in color. My husband likes getting them plus it's better than nothing.

Agreed that the jpay "cards" are better than nothing.

So to update this thread, I made a card for him from a site online http://www.greetingsisland.com and printed it off in color on plain slightly glossy paper (but not cardstock) from a copyshop. He was able to receive it.
He is at Bent County Correctional Facility, which is private however, so I don't know if an actual DOC facility would work or not But it got through.
