I submit Monday for not that weekend coming up but the next one.
Be sure and say any available times or they will not give you an appointment if what you choose is not open. You can ask for earlier or later prefered though.
Enjoy your visit.
I might be up in a few weeks also

Yes,it is almost two weeks in advance if you e-mail or a little less if you call on Wed.
You don't book for the weekend of the week you make the appointment but the next one.
Corcoran has a lot of yards.4B gets visits Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons.

You might just call Wed. and book your appointment .They can tell you what his visiting hours are for Sat. /Sunday.
The e-mail takes a lot less time though.

Juansgirl, I wonder if your guy and my buddy came on the same bus, haha? I called visiting and they said they can get visits right away.

I have a question for everyone. My friend was in Level 4 for several years at KVSP until he got this SHU term and was sent to Corcoran. When his SHU term is over, does he automatically get sent back to KVSP, or to another Level 4, or stay at Corcoran, or is it just random what they decide to do with him? We like how close he is (we live in the San Joaquin Valley) and don't want him sent to Southern Cal when this SHU term is done!

Sometimes same day on Monday afternoon or anytime on Tuesday. Technically they have until Wednesday 10am to respond, but if you do not recieve an email by Wednesday 10 am then you may not have sent the email early enough and will have to call in. Emails are on a first come first serve type deal. They only have so many email appt time available so that telephone appointments can be available for those who cannot email. Good luck! FYI, I sent mine at exactly 6am as usual and they have not responded yet to me either so no worries. I'm sure they will get to it tomorrow.

It depends if he is 4A or 4B.
4A has visits on Saturday starting at 11:30 and the last appoinment time at 1:30pm. Sunday visiting appointments start at 8:30am up and last appointment at 10:30 or 11am I believe.
4B is the opposite hours of 4A with Saturday visits in the mornings starting at 8:30am and Sunday visits in the afternoon.

Lol! Yes ma'am if you live 250 miles or more away according to CDCR's Map not Google Maps and have not visited in over a month.

I would call if you want the two hours.
I live over 250 miles and they wouldn't approve it by e-mail.
They also have an issue with this on busy visiting days (like holidays).
Two hours is really nice though, compared to one

Yes, you are correct. A phone call is required and a 2hr visit cannot be requested via email. I live closer and do not personally have the experience in requesting, but I know someone who regularly visits from over 250 miles who states that a Phone call to make the appointment is required.

It all depends on what occurs at his committee meeting... They determine it there. Good Luck!

Hey-- my buddy wrote and asked for some stationery. I sent a large envelope that had 40 sheets of paper, 20 envelopes, and a sheet of 20 stamps. It's been over 2 weeks; he's getting my letters but not the packet of stationery. Is there something I did wrong, or do they take longer to process large envelopes? Any ideas?
