Nica,

We are still waiting. my paperwork is all good, just waiting on the notary.

Its been 3 weeks since my baby signed up. We had to wait until then because of money issues. I finally got a job.

So............he was told that he would be called when the notary is there ......idk?

i will keep you posted!!!

That's wonderful, high five on the job!!.

Looks as though notarization at PV needs a tune-up lol . I hope you get a date soon and your delay is minimal.

You can see my ticker, that how long so far.

My guy went to the library and got the paperwork.

He got to the notary on 7/5, but his counselor was out of town.

His counselor is back today, so he is turning everything in this week.

Hopefully today!!

I can't see the ticker because the iphone Application doesn't allow that. Pretty dumb but it's much quicker to log in lol Is that how they get it by going to the Library? They don't put in a slip to request the marriage package?

Oh, Im sure they can, but my guy is way to impatient for that. He knew they had copies at the library.

We have been waiting 4 months and 4 days. Now, I will give them a month because I wasn't working and had to wait a couple of weeks to get the cash for the notary fees(mine and his).

We think that we may be getting close!!!

Oh well to late for him going to the library he put the slip in lol Either way as long as we are able to marry one another. I know this is a process so I won't complain. Congrats girl! I hope you get to marrying your guy soon. Thanks again! marriages also are on Fridays right? Not during visit? I know some prisons do certain ways.

They request the marriage package from their counselor. I believe the inmate is charged $5. Mine got it within a week, I think. He sends it to you and you fill your portion out and get it notarized and mail it back to him so that he can get it notarized as well. <-- That is where the hold up is, usually.

It's very basic and easy to follow. It looks like it's been photocopied 100 times. It was easy to get it notarized on my end-$15 same day. Good luck to you!

Well, we won't be getting married at PVSP. My baby's counselor handed him back his paperwork last week and said, "Sorry, not enough time because A yard is being transferred out."

We have been waiting so long, now we have to start all over once he is transfered to who knows where.

I am so bummed, pissed ........................oh well.

I am too! I just heard from my guy. He paid the $10 not a lot but we were looking forward to getting married. They gave them small committee and are doing the calculations of 2 for 1 credits from his understanding they will begin to ship out sept. :'(

Mylonglostlove, oh no.....I'm so sorry to hear! I remember when you first mentioned it. I cant believe they sat so long on this and now the yard is flipping. I truly hope that the place you and your loved end up that transition is smoother. Let me know when the big day arrives and where you ended up tying the knot chica! Don't worry it will happen, it's in God's way...It is meant to be! You both found each other, after so long . Keep the faith

Congratulations. Your LO, gets the marriage packet from his counselor. It's about 7+ pages. Follow the instructions. He completes his part than you complete yours and mail it back.

Read the first page with the overview and summary of the packet. It lists what each section is. It was overwhelming to me at first, but when you read each page, it's very self-explanatory. You're going to just fill out your information. Congrats!

After you have filled out your portion (he should already have filled out his portion) get the form notarized. It cost $15 for me and I did it same day. THEN mail it all back to your man in a manila envelope.

It can be overwhelming. Fill out your portion carefully and get it notarized before returning it to your LO. Once you have the stamp and signatures, mail it to your man directly. Your marriage has to be signed off by counselors, and staff, before it can be mailed to the clerks office in Fresno county. Good luck and congratulations .

Has anyone gotten married lately? I sent my marriage package about 2 months ago. My Man said that currently there is NO counselor on C3 block. HAS ANYONE HEARD ANYTHING? or can someone help me as to who I call and ask?

Ext is 7801 for marriage coordinator.
