Does anyone know the address to send dress-outs? Is it ok to send it Federal Express?

I just got a call saying the pick up is at the bus station, not Amtrak -- the closest bus station is Tulare, does anyone know???? He gets out tomorrow so now I'm not sure wher to go!

So the pick up spot isn't in Corcoran? Amtrak is a train and bus station?

Is the pick up place still at the Amtrak station in Corcoran at 10:00 am? And do you have to check in at the prison first before going to the station?

I picked up my cousin at the Train Station in town. I didn't have to check in at the Prison. I got there around 8:45, he arrived around 9:30 or so. This was almost a year or so ago but I'm pretty sure the process is still the same. You can always call the prison and I'm sure they will give you the info. Hope this helps. Make sure your there at train station cause if your not they will have him get on the train if no one is there for him.

Thank you very much for your response. I have been trying to call up there but I haven't been able to talk to anybody yet. If I don't get a hold of anyone, I will be at the train station.

Thank you again...can't wait until this nightmare is over!! 59 more days!!

I'm not sure if this applies to high security/shu inmates. My guy says he will be picked up by his p.o. and I can pick him up fairly local to where we live, when his time to be released comes. Not 100% sure he is correct since he has never been validated before, but I assume he knows what he is talking about.
For the other guys, just go to the Am-track station near as I can tell.He will be "free" when you pick him up but need to do a p.o. check in shortly after release. He will know all that stuff.
I would get a motel room and have him call my cell if the release is early.Nothing is assured to be on schedule with prisons.
Congratulations!

Before he went to the SHU, he was told that he would be released on probation so that is why I am confused. My husband recently wrote me and said that he would not be released on high security so I am assuming that he will be brought to the train station and I can pick him up.

I was planning to get a motel room the night before because I didn't want to have to leave my house at 2 in the morning the day of.

Thank you for your response. I do know that nothing is assured to be on schedule when it comes to DOC. Hard to really prepare when you just aren't sure about some things.

Smile Releases

I am wondering what is the Train Station and where is it? Why do I pick him up there?

Also.... This is an odd one.

My husband was somehow informed that his release date was miscalculated (in Tehachapi) He was one of the guys that had his time reduced from the new law for sentence reductions.

Here is some back story.
In April he got placed in the hole for "conspiracy to commit assault on staff" on June 6th he got found guilty, they assessed him a 150 day credit loss, June 18th, they dismissed the charges (against him and 5 others because of no evidence) they reversed the credit loss, July 1st, records responded to his request on when his release date is. They gave it to him.

Last night I got a call from someone calling for him, saying he had been informed that his date was wrong, and they owed him 49 additional days (meaning he would be released a month and a half sooner).

Has anyone heard about this happening? I'm wondering if they assessed the credit loss at 80%, then calculated his release date, at 66%, and then gave back that credit loss that was taken at 80%. Does that make sense?

Can someone help me please? The prison won't give me any information about "case specific" issues. He is still in orientation status, hopefully he will be classified Thursday (something else he was told) Where could he have gotten this information from?

Thanks!

Does anyone know the steps for sending dress outs?
Address?
How far in advance is allowed?
What is allowed?
Will they give them their commissary funds in cash if they have money on their books?
Any other release information is appreciated.

Default how to send release clothes

Hello everyone, I was wondering if someone could tell me how I go about mailing release clothes. My son has asked me to send a friend of his some release clothes and I said yes but have no idea how. The gentleman is being released July 18, 2018. He will be released from Corcoran Prison (SATF) in California
. I only have his name and cdc number.
Thank you
