WTH! Only thing that can do that is a good-sized bear or puma/mt. lion/cougar! Anything eaten from any of the kills? And distinguishing marks - claw, tooth - being reported? That's seriously something to be watched out for!

Just checked for an update, found one accompanied by a different article that the one I posted earlier:

MONROE COUNTY, Ky. — UPDATE: According to Kentucky Fish and Wildlife, the animals' wounds are inconsistent with a large predator attack. They say do not have conclusive answers as to what caused the attack at this time.

Ah! Mini horses...much easier prey, but still daunting enough.

Here's an updated news video & article from this morning, but not a lot of new info. If you follow the link to the news reporter's fb page, many folks are posting about a mountain lion / cougar, others mention coyotes:

Ky. Officials Investigate Mysterious Animal Killings

TOMPKINSVILLE, Ky. - Officials in Monroe County, Kentucky have urged the public to be vigilant after the “mysterious killings” of several animals.
The Monroe County, Kentucky Sheriff issued an alert over the weekend after three miniature horses, a husky and a pit bull were all found dead in the Bill Butler Spur area.

The animals were found with their throats torn open.

Everyone in that area just really needs to be cautious and keep an eye on each other.

Sorry but I'm having a hard time believing that a mountain lion or any kind of wild animal killed the pit.

Another one.

WBKO reports here that a calf was found dead Saturday in the same general area where a number of other animals have been found killed.

However, it is unclear if any of the deaths are connected.

Mostly! There are a few (from what I recall, mostly large cats) that occasionally go on a 'tear' and just kill. But I don't recall those reports going on over and over, except for the pair of lions at Tsavo.
