How do I initiate a status hearing to get off state supervised probation?
I have been on probation for 3 and 1/2 years out of a 7 year probation sentence that started after I was done with parole. Since I changed my address last year,my parole agent changed and since then I keep getting a new agent every few months or in most cases after I had my meeting with them. I wanted to know how to go forward and try to initiate a status hearing to see if I can get off probation or get my conditions changed. I tried asking my parole agent but they either suggest a lawyer (on fixed income)or they say they were going to look into it. I had no violations and my court costs is paid off.
You have to get the sentencing court to change the sentence, which is technically not possible at this late date. however, if the DA's office agrees not to appeal, then the court might consider it. You'll have to go through either the lawyer still listed on the case or get a new lawyer to take the case. If you were represented by the Defender Association of Philadelphia, you can call them.

I was sentenced in Delaware county. Had a private lawyer but as mentioned currently can’t afford his services at the moment.
