Default Anyone Heard About This New Law

Hi I hope you all are safe and well.

My LWOP was sentence when he was 22 years old. Now he is 41. Is the a law that will allow them to possibly lower his sentence based on his conviction so young?

Any help or where i can search i will greatly appreciate it

Is this what you're looking for:

A youth offender parole hearing is a parole suitability hearing for an inmate who qualifies as a youth offender, at which the hearing panel must give great weight to the youth offender factors. Most inmates who were under the age of 26 when they committed their controlling offense, which is the single crime or enhancement for which any sentencing court imposed the longest term of imprisonment on the inmate, qualify as a youth offender.

Cdcr is California department of corrections
Ca is California
Gov is government

Unpacking this a bit means that it is a CA law. Federal law is different and generally more restrictive
