I'm sorry. Hopefully, things work out better than planned.

Mine got called into his case manager last week to let him know he's recommending him straight to Home confinement on Jan 31. It'll take a month for approval, to which my husband said that means two months. From there I assume once approved, I'll hear from the parole office about a home visit and all that nonsense.

Yesterday was the 4 month mark since he's been gone. I have to admit, there are times it is definitely lonely, but I am also surprised how fast 4 months have gone by. The key I think is keeping myself busy, although I have been overwhelmed at times with how busy I am and trying to find the right balance!

How are things going with you?

That's awesome! We are just waiting for him to become eligible for a program next yr. If accepted, he could be home by the end of 2019. We pray pray pray. Time is moving, but knowing a other 18 months or so to go feels like an eternity.

How's the 2019 homecoming crew doing?! We are already almost halfway through 2018

Time is FLYING!! I've been keeping busy since starting a new job. My guy will for sure be getting released from the Feds in 11 months but the pending state charge is still hanging over us.....prepared for the worst but staying positive and hoping for the best!

Hanging in there. I can't believe it is May already. Work and my kids keep me busy. We are just trying to settle in for the rest of the ride. Accepting that it will be more time than it has is a struggle at times.

Caught between wanting time to move faster and not wishing life away.

My son gets out in May 2019, which will be 6 years 9 months actual time served on an 8 year sentence. When this started I didn't know how I would get through the next day let alone years. I can't believe we have been at this for almost 6 years already.

How are you ladies doing?

What are your plans to get ready in the mean time? I picked up a shit ton of extra work. So excited really! Pay bills down and hopefully this time next year start saving for the homecoming.

When this is over I want a nice long vacation.

My boys are graduating on a few weeks! Plenty to keep me busy that is for sure.

Unfortunately our 2019 homecoming might not happen....going through a very rough patch but this too shall pass, things will eventually work out as they are meant to and it will be for the best!

Aw thanks, hope you're well!!

It's been a bumpy road, but we now have a better idea of what to expect....sorta. He will be done with his federal prison sentence on 4/11/2019 but then will have to go to court to deal with a state charge, I've been in touch with his public defender and unfortunately there is nothing they can do about the charge until he is out of federal custody.

We are doing our best to get through all of it!

My hubby will be released Nov 2019..Hopefully a charge his ex put on him doesn't stall the date or mess up hwh/home confinement. He'll come out with no probation and free to do as we please. He's been gone since our youngest daughter was 2 weeks old. Its been a rough time since he's been gone. Work starts back up in another week and it'll keep me busy along with our 2 girls. Counting down the days and planning a nice surprise for his homecoming

I paid off one loan, refinanced another so I would have extra to buy myself a new computer that would be easier with my disability, which will allow me to give him my old laptop (which has a new hard drive) to use. I have my mechanic looking for a used car that he can make sure is in good enough shape so my son can get around town for a job, school, and the parole requirements. Our agreement is when he can qualify for a loan, he will pay be back for half of the car purchase.

He really wants to finish getting his degree, as he will have done all but 10 credits to get his associates degree. He hopes to go on a bachelors and wants to do something that involves sociology. I tell him he will need to meet with a college counselor and apply for financial aid to determine how feasible it all is. I hope he can do it.

I have emptied his room. He will have boxes to sort through. I told him when he gets out, he can paint it and get his dad to help him replace the carpet with some laminate flooring and that I would provide the material.

I have been putting a few dollars at a time in his bank account. He doesn't want mom taking him clothes shopping. Small rebate checks and $5 a month can add up over time so he will have enough to get the basic underwear, socks, something for job interviews, a couple pair of shorts and jeans, a few tops, and shoes/sneakers. He is much bigger than when he went in. The results of giving up drugs and exercising a lot, put on 40 pounds of muscle.

I have also put him on one of my credit cards which company does report the co-card to the credit bureau, so I started building his credit, which he will need.

In 2015, I finished paying off his fines to the State of WI. He was out on a plea agreement from a felony there and his crime here violated that. I contacted his lawyer (who was my boss when I lived in WI) and he got things straightened out so that they accepted the Arizona time as completion of his time there (concurrent terms) so we don't have to worry about WI picking him up when he gets out in AZ.

This week I ordered a safe. Since his underlying problem giving rise to his crimes was drugs, and even though he has been clean for over 5 years, I think it is best to limit temptation by locking up my medications.

Last pre-Christimas sale, I bought him high quality, high thread cotton sheets for his bed and new pillows. I figure sleeping on something alot more comfortable than what the prison has provided since 2012 will be a real treat (once he gets used to it).

Finally, his sister is planning a welcome home party. We don't know who she will be inviting as most friends have gone by the way side, but we have no doubt she will demand people be here. She plans to make it fun and so that he feels "at home" and to show other people what they make in the prison, she is planning on replicating their version of Chinese food and other assorted goodies that they make. She is a school teacher in WI, so while he will get out in May, the party will be about a month later. I think that is a good thing as he needs time to adjust to the outside a bit before a party.

If anyone has other suggestions, ideas, or experiences, I hope they share.

My mans EPD says 9/19 but it still needs to be updated. It hasnt given the NonViolent date yet or they havent applied his pre and post sentence credits. So even with that I am thinking 2019....as to what month???? I can't wait he has been in since 4/18 I know its not that long and at first I felt so sad until I started reading how long others have been waiting and I had to tell myself you need to suck this up because it could have been worse! I really admire how strong you women that are waiting a long time are...my respects!!!
