Default Reception in Florida - What can I send?

What, if anything, can I send my husband while he's at reception? Letters only, or am I able to send SASEs and photos? Also, provided I have the Securus account set up as soon as I have his DC#, how long before he is allowed to call?
Thanks in advance!

you can send him anything at reception he can get at a regular camp. the DOC website has all the guidelines for that. If youve sent him your phone bill already it can take 2-4 weeks for your number to be approved.

Well, I've experienced all but the phone list at reception.

Back in the day reception would laugh at you about a phone or visit list as they have so much to do as it is, but I'm hearing folks here and there say they got a phone call before he left reception. MOST of the time they still want them to wait until they leave reception though.

At this point anything is possible just brace yourself in case it doesn't happen.

You can send him 10 envelopes, 10 blank sheets of paper and a book of US postage stamps. Up to 15 additional printed pages and a personal letter. Personal letters have no page limit and doesn't count toward the other limits. When I send to Marty, I will do this a couple times a week.

Thanks ladies! I'm prepared (I think haha) for him not to be able to call. I just want to be sure he can write ASAP or I may go crazy worrying.
