Hey Side, I had one all it was was a loaf pan with a wire rack in the bottom. For as often as I make meat loaf it took longer to find the pan then it was worth!! I only make meat loaf if someone else wants it and I live alone!! So I rarely used it I'm a aluminum throw away pan type of girl!!!

Me too on the toss aways.
I just thought it would be a good thing to have. I do make meat loaf usually a few times a month in the winter time.
Son likes it alot and its an easy meal to make. Usually do baked potatoes along with and maybe a salad or a canned veg. Winter is crappy for me at work to I really try to make it simple on busy days.

I just thought that pan would be easier to get the meat loaf out in one piece and out of the fat. lol. Maybe I should jury rig something........
(lol, I said jury rig on a prison support site......sheesh)

Side, I stopped putting my meatloaf in a pan years ago. I usually put mine on a small rack on top a cookie sheet, but I have just put it on the cookie sheet - it doesn't have to be in a loaf pan.

I also had a heaping tablespoon of horseradish to mine.

I have probably used horseradish on meat loaf.
(love the stuff and would use it on the side if needed or wanted or I thought of it lol)

Most of the time I actually use a glass casserole dish and *mold* the meat loaf...but still. ug. So much fat. No matter how lean the ground beef is. and if its too lean......its like a brick.
