I'm with maytahay on this. After living abroad for 5+ years, there's no tipping and it's very nice. I'd rather it be required that servers and whatnot get a real living wage. Service here isn't quite as good, but not having to deal with that is great.

Pay people what they're worth as a part of the base pay. Mho

Obviously they are not giving your rating on your tips. I get it that the US is kind of tip crazy. I've traveled to other countries where it's not customary to tip because the price of service is included in the fare or meal or what ever service your buying is.

I would prefer it this way. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten HORRIBLE service that didn't deserve a tip, but still left one because that's just what you do.

Which is my point.

$0.00 is a perfectly acceptable tip for an Uber or Lyft driver. My rating (4.9 now BTW) speaks for itself.
