Thumbs down Pendleton and Snake River Prisons are the worst!

So now Im in Pendleton and lucky me I have found a solution to stay here permently. Now I can visit him every week... AND save alot on phonebills!!!
I've done time in both of them, but I would have to say the old mental hospital converted to a prison at Pendleton is by far the worst and most depressing place I have ever been. The guards there delight in bullying, criticizing, and nit picking at every opportunity. They enjoy setting people up on false charges and rule infractions. It seems to reflect the total lack of proffesionisim by the administration there.

Something to think about: Snake River is pretty close to Boise, ID, and a much larger town than Ontario. I believe it's about a 30 min. drive from Boise to Snake.

Welcome to PTO, I'm sorry you need us but am glad you found us.

I have friends and PP's in South Fork Forest Camp and Oregon State Correctional Institution.

Does anyone else have friends/family at SFFC? It seems to be one of the lesser talked about prisons/camps.

Not too many folks here who have guys at SFFC - I think they turn over too quickly. And some of the guys who hit the camps are short on their sentences, so by then, their loved ones have most of the system figured out, so they aren't looking for info. It seems the guys who go straight from intake to SFFC either do their time with little fuss (thus making it easier on their loved ones) or they end up in one of the bigger prisons and that's when their loved ones come here looking for help.

Thanks Ginger. That makes sense, although there are a lot of guys in there with my pal :-). So I guess as you say their loved ones are just all clued up already.

Default Hi All

My fiancé is at OSP. Soon (Oct 2018) he will be my husband. We met as pen pals about 12 years ago. Since then we have had a lot of correspondences via letters and phone calls. We just barely had our first actual visit this past March & it was awesome. (Well as awesome as it can be given the circumstances of meeting someone you love in prison) It was definitely very hard to leave since I live in Idaho. I literally can’t wait until I can see him again! Would love to get to know others who also have loved ones at OSP.

I remember talking to you last year because my man was at OSP. Aren’t you waiting for him to possibly get moved to eastern Oregon? It sounds like that has not happened yet, I hope it does soon!

Hi!! Yes I remember talking with you too. You waited to meet until his release right? How are things going? Yes we are waiting. He will be moved in Sept of this year but will most likely stay in Salem because he lives in Portland and from what I've learned is they try to keep them close to where they will be released. I wish he was in snake river cause it's an hour drive there vs over 7 to get to Salem.
