Post Prison Wedding

My man is currently in Wasco waiting to get transferred to a CA state prison. We're planning on getting married when he moves & I want to know how the actual "wedding" is gonna be. How many ppl can attend, can we take cameras, how long it lasts, what can i wear, what kind of ring can he have, & do they jst walk him in & out or do we get to visit after..? I'd appreciate the help!

Theres a whole forum dedicated to prison weddings. every prison is different. However I did just have a friend whos man was in a CA prison and the weddings there were done during the contact visits. So you had your wedding then got to sit and visit. The best advice I can give is to find out what prison he is going to and call the prison, they should be able to tell you who in the prison is incharge of the weddings and they can answer any and all questions you have about the facilities rules. Good luck and congrats!!!!

Ok so I just got approved to marry my fiance who is at CVSP in Blythe, finished the paperwork and am ready to send the marriage license application and money order for $90 back to the prison wedding coordinator.

So I would like to know can I wear a white dress? It fits below the knee and covers my arms has lace but is very modest. Also as far as rings are concerned I found a wedding band for my fiance online that is well below the $100 max limit. Can I walk it in the day of our ceremony or do I have to have it shipped to him ahead of our wedding day to be included with his personal belongings? I tried calling the marriage coordinator a few times and she has yet to return my calls. Any help would be appreciated.

Also if anyone else was married at Ironwood or Chuckawalla I'd love to hear your experience and how your wedding(s) went! Congrats to all the lucky brides on here too!

Default whats the process of getting married at mens central jail?

hey guys!
my man an i are wanting to get married. i have already sent the request form as well as a copy of my pic id and am waiting for the approval. i was looking online for different notaries and business's that do jail weddings and i came across a notary place that does everything for you ; but honestly i dont know if there is a cheaper way to go as far as cost. the mans name is Rev. Jean-Claude Bensoussan and he works for AAAA Notary Public Service. has anyone heard of him? he says he does a lot of marriages at MCJ. he quoted me $750. does that seem about right? he will go to the jail to notarize my mans inability to appear form as well as his application, turn it in to the county clerk office, be there with me when i pick it up the marriage license ( the cost includes the cost of the actual marriage license) and then will be the one to marry my boyfriend and i on our wedding day.

my boyfriend is in MCJ but i live in northern CA in the east bay so me going back and forth to turn in paperwork would be hard (thats one of the reasons why i wanted to go with this guy, since he would drop off paperwork. i would only have to be there to pick up the marriage license and then on our actual wedding day)

another thing im not sure about is that my bf lost his id and has requested a new one but hasnt got any help with that yet. the man who quoted me the $750 said part of the reason why it is $750 is because he will turn in our marriage app to the ventura county clerks office which he said is the only one in CA that will accept the marriage app without my man's id. if my bf had an id it would only be $595

does anyone know if thats true about no id needed in ventura? what is the marriage process in MCJ for the day of our wedding? and is there a cheaper way to go about this?

thanks in advance for your responses!!!! i really appreciate it!!
