The way he lights up everytime he sees me

The way he teases me by calling and hanging up several times before i can connect the call just to make me that much more excited to finally hear his voice

The way he just knows when i need him the most even when we haven't talked for a few days

The way he knows me far better than i even know myself

The way he can melt away all my worries with 3 simple words

The way he makes me feel like no other man has ever even come close to making me feel

All the silly little pet names he has for me

The way he brings out the best in me even at my worst

The way he accepts my weird quirks ( and trust me there's a ton)

The way i can see our future when i get lost into those baby blues of his

And the list just goes on and on
I truely am blessed to have such an amazing man in my life. There's not a doubt in my mind i could ever find anyone more perfect for me. He is my best friend; shoulder to cry on; biggest supporter; my SOULMATE!!!

<3 IN HIS ARMS IS WHERE I BELONG <3

Told you I'd think of more...

I'm grateful that he really reads my letters and responds to even minor things I've written about. It might have been something quite trivial but it feels good that he acknowleges me.

My babe has "grateful" tattooed down his arm so he's all about being grateful and so am I all because of him. <3

I'm grateful to have an amazing man in my life who loves me and that I love back. The love we share is stronger than any distance or time.

I'm grateful that he is still alive and safe. A terrible addiction and dangerous lifestyle could've easily taken his life, so in grateful he is still breathing.

I'm grateful that both his family and my own are great sources of support and continue to do all they can to help us through this difficult time.

I'm grateful to have a job that pays me enough to keep money on the phone and get me to and from visits when I can go. Also enough to send him things to try to make his incarceration as comfortable as possible.

I'm grateful that his sentence isn't longer than it is, for I know that it definitely could've been.

I'm grateful for all the things I took for granted before they were taken away from my love; freedom, my own bed, free access to a full fridge, moderately temperature showers etc.

I'm sure I could think of more but that's a good start I'd say! Great thread!

Eta...i kind of went off topic to more so things in my life I'm grateful for rather than things specifically about him...ooops!

Respect is such an important component of any type of relationship, really without it there is not much else so yes this is something to be wholly grateful for.

Sent me my favourite sweets.

aww so cool about him writing phrases in Gaelic! I have taught my man several Irish phrases and I love to hear him say them. Call each other Irish pet names all the time which I think is so sweet. He has adopted Ireland as his second country, lol. My biggest hope and dream is to be able to visit there when he gets out.

Im grateful to be his one and only, his diamond in the rough, gangsta/lady,soulmate, and the 1 who will stand by him by any means. the one that hes developed his own language with and the way every single time I see him he acts and looks at me like hes 5 years old on Christmas morning and just got that huge present hes been wanting forever and its labeled from Santa claus. the way I feel when im in his arms and feel like no one else on this earth can make me feel as safe, loved, and cherished as in that moment.

I'm so grateful that my Brandon always asks about my day and how much son is doing.
I'm grateful that he will call me "babe," and things of the nature in front of the guys.
I'm grateful that he trusts me with important things, like texting his mom for him.
I'm grateful that he is always willing to compromise.

You reminded me of another thing I am grateful for...

He has the uncanny ability to know when something is not right with me and it is those times that I will receive an unscheduled call from him. The first words out of his mouth, "What's wrong, baby?" I'm grateful for the connection.

I am grateful that I found my life partner.

I am grateful that at every turn his words, laughter, presence remind me how perfect we are for one another.

I am grateful that his Love for Me is so Deep and profound it had me look at how much I really Love myself. (how could he Love me more than I Love me?! Was I really loving me?!)

I am grateful that my children accept, appreciate, Love and Claim him as their own flesh and blood.

I am grateful that he claims them as his own and shows it, not just talks about it.

I am grateful he knows exactly how to Love me the way I've always dreamed and then much much more!

I am grateful to have the healthiest relationship ever.

I am grateful that he Loves God first and lives by that Truth daily.

I am grateful he is always Honest with me even when its hard.

I am grateful he takes good care of himself spiritually and physically under such difficult situations.

I am grateful to have his consistent support for my personal success and happiness regardless of his own.

I am grateful to have my brother, best friend, lover, partner, all beautiful meshed into One Beautiful Boricua King made all for Me! As he says, "I'm all yours, Beloved"

I am grateful to have the man of my Dreams be the man of my Reality.

I am grateful to have such profound Happiness, Love and Family regardless of the prison which its core is against it. (10 years now! and until the end!)

I am so very grateful, my Beloved did the work he needed to to get him where he is today after making the mistakes he made to get him in prison to begin with. In other words, against all odds He chose God and Life.

I am grateful that he went against his prior decision and decided to open up to Love. (he at 1st refused to get into a relationship b/c he thought it would be too painful for me, and didn't want to bring me into "his mistake")

I am grateful for every moment we get together, every hug, every kiss, every touch. I am grateful.

I am grateful for the phone calls that bring me his beautiful voice up close and direct.

I am grateful for PTO!!!

I'm grateful that even though he's in prison...
  • He asks about my friends and PTO and in general things he doesn't have to concern himself with but does
  • He gets excited just because I am
  • He prays for me
  • He actually tells me in the card he sends why he chose it if it has an abstract meaning (weird I know but we are weird, LOL)
  • He is content in our relationship and makes me feel the same
I'm sure I'll come up with more, those are just a few off the top of my head. Please share the little things that your incarcerated husband/boyfriend does that you are grateful for.

My hubby will ask how my day is. He always tells me the qualities that he loves about me. He never fails to mention that I'm his rock and I give him the motivation to want to be a better person. Right now I'm trying to find myself spiritually, when he is Christian. He completely supports the religion that I am practicing even if it's totally different from what he believes, that means a lot to me! He always asks about my son, his stepson, and how he is doing and is always like tell him I love him and give him kisses for me. I love this man so much! Not much longer! Yayy!

Default Im thankful for......

I'm thankful for these good days! When my baby is not too hot. When he is in good spirits. When our hard work is showing some fruit. When we are so in love and everyday is getting closer to him coming home! Also I'm thankful for new possibilities comeing up with the lawyers, and jobs. I wanted us to have a thread we can say something we are thankful for. Sometimes I dwell on the negative and sometimes to help get us out of a bad slump or to bless someone else we say positive things! So what are you thankful for?
