Please read this article. Senator Durbin of Illinois is drafting legislation to amend solitary confinement practices. Please send him letters about the experiences of your loved ones in California! Apparently, the last hunger strike got his attention.

"The hearing before a Senate Judiciary subcommittee came after a lawsuit last month against solitary-confinement policies at a California prison and a widespread hunger strike against that state's use of the practice."

Please seize the moment and write to Senator Durbin! You don't have to give the name of your loved one if you don't want to--just let them know what is going on and in what prisons!
