Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

Hi everyone,
Im from North Carolina and I have several loved ones currently incarcerated in various FCIs. Im new to PTO but of course not to the system. I would like to know of anyone who has any feedback on Manchester, KY FCI. My love is there and Im planning to visit there soon and any tips, feedback, good hotels, etc. from anyone would be very helpful to me. He is due to come home sometime between October and November..

This is my first time traveling to this location because of its distance. I have a brother thats even further. He's in Allenwood, PA at an FCI there and I have another brother at the FCI Petersburg Low in VA...Just trying to network and help support others that have family, friends, and love ones incarcerated...

Welcome to Prison Talk. Be sure to check the federal prison forums too. I was at Petersburg low for a few years, but don't know anything about the others.

Except for the lack of air conditioning, and some of the older residence units, Petersburg was still better than some of the other lows I visited. Reasonably laid back too.
