Default Anybody else with Jan tpm?

Called the GDOC and was told my husband's case is being reviewed . Finally!! Does anyone here have a loved one with a January TPM?? I already knew this was his tpm month but just hearing that there's some progress on their end being made has me in better spirit's. Light at the end of the tunnel ya know?

Congrats! I don't have anyone with a Jan TPM (nearest date is Dec 2021), but have already had a friend released. I didn't sleep well for a week before his release date!

You're so close now!

Thank you Yes I'm so ready for this to be over with. My insomnia is bad now I can imagine what It'll be like right before he's released! It'll be more real to me once I get a release date and he's walking out the gates! Think I'll start calling GDOC once a week with fingers crossed for a release date There doesn't seem to be many people on here anymore. I've been reading posts from 4-5 year's ago.

Yes, people have gravitated to the 'newer' social media - Twitter, Facebook etc. I think it's a shame, as the type of conversation you and I have just had here is not as easy to do on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc. And those media are almost impossible to search.

That said, we still have a LOT of people who read the information we have here when they're trying to find information. They may not register or post, but they still read.

Wishing you luck as you get closer and closer!

I agree, it doesn't seem like as many people post but I think many are on the other forums posting. I am happy your loved one is getting reviewed. It is exciting to count down the time til release. It was hard to wait in the car until our son came through the gate. I wanted to run around & jump for joy. Please let us know what you find out about his date.

Thank you Yes I see a lot of people read the posts but not as many actually post anymore. Anyways do y'all think I should call the GDOC everyday to find out if a release date has been set since his graduation date from RSAT is the 16th of this month as well as his TPM month or should I just call once a week? He's completed everything he's supposed to complete. I'm trying not to get my hopes up but after talking to a counselor who pulled his file up and hearing her say he didn't have any DR'S or set backs and she didn't see why parole would deny him I'm pretty sure he'll be released soon. Just don't know how quickly or how long it takes parole board to make their decision?

Well I just called GDOC this morning and they're saying he's still being reviewed and that with him graduating RSAT is only going to help his case but not guarantee a release... I thought after completion of RSAT the inmate is released? My guess is he won't get a release date until closer to the end of the month after he graduates RSAT IF parole board decides to release him. In the end if they make him max out it's just another 10 months and then he'll be done with it anyways. Hate to be so negative about it but I'd rather prepare myself for the worst. Don't think I'll bother calling every day. Oh well..

I don't think completion of RSAT results in instant release, I seem to recall reading that it just speeds up the release date.

I don't think you're being negative at all. Disappointed? Yes, and understandably so. Realistic? Yes.

We say it here a lot: plan for the worst, hope for the best. That's not being negative, that's being realistic.

The sooner he has everything required completed, the easier it'll be to get a positive response to a release date. Sounds like he is well on his way. It's so hard to wait the last little bit but just think of how nice it'll be. Sort of like being a kid waiting for Christmas Day. You see the decorations & know it's coming but still can't wait.

Yes I called again this morning to see if a date was set yet and of course no. So I think I'm going to let it be and wait until next Thursday when he graduates RSAT and try calling then. My gut tells me he'll be released real soon here but not going to get my hopes up and I'm going to try and not focus on it for the next week or so because the constant obsessing over it seems to trigger my panic attacks/ptsd. Thank y'all for your responses as well I will definitely update when I get more info as time goes on....

Of course I called GDOC this morning and still no date set. I also talked to my husband yesterday and he told me they were all informed that inmates can no longer get PIC points for taking RSAT anymore. They just started it. So I'm glad he wasn't taking it for the PIC point's!

My husband went to IRP today and counselor showed him on the computer that his release date is February 16th!!! God is good!! When I call the GDOC number they still say no release date and he's still being reviewed but from speaking with other women who have been in similar situations have all said he would find out before anyone of a date. Trying not to get too excited as I know thing's can change when dealing with GDOC but a small part of me is dancing on the inside!!!

Oh how very happy! Congrats! Dance your way to the gate to pick him up, then feed him something tasty! I'll warn you that you may have difficulties sleeping in the nights leading up to release.

I'll also warn you that it's not uncommon for guys to get out and get car sick on the drive. Be prepared
