Unhappy Hi all!

Hi everyone, Iím new here... this is my first time posting. I found this site by driving myself crazy googling questions. My Ďhusbandí is locked up in NRC (stateville) right now & im missing him like crazy. Heís been there a bit over 2 weeks now so any RECENT advice of ďhow longĒ til he gets transferred will be helpful. Iíve read soooo many threads on here as well 😂 Iím so glad to be apart of this site ☺️

Another thing as well, if anyone is willing to carpool once I find out where he is transferred please contact me! Or if there are any travel services to facilities.
Thanks!

Hey there. Receiving is the toughest part! Hopefully heís moved soon. Have you set up your securus account? If not do it you never know when theyíll pass the phone there. And sign up for vine link notifications you know right away where heís moved. NRC can take anywhere from 21-60 dayís. Hopefully yours will be quick it all depends on his charge, gang affiliation if any, background and health issues. Heíll be classified and they do transfers on Wednesdayís. So check the IDOC website daily when his photo changes you know heís moving. Lmk if you have any other questions!! Take care of yourself the journey has just begun but you guys will settle in to a routine when heís moved. This is the hardest part. Oh and look up Dees transportation service on Facebook sheís great.

Iíve very ďcrazyĒ when it comes to these things lol Iíve had my account set up since the last time eye roll, I know. So Iím very ahead of the game.. Iím here to talk & let my crazy out because itís driving me nuts have no clarity with him. When he first went he told me itíd be 2 weeks being the last time he was there.. but itís been a bit over 2 weeks. Iíve been signed up for vine so Iím aware of that. How do you know they do transfers on wednesdays? Iím hoping this week he gets transferred like you said the journey is just beginning and weíve had plenty of conversations about this so our hearts are definitely aware of where they are. Itís just so hard getting only 20 mins a WEEK compared to 3 calls a day when he was in county jail. Iím trying to get through it. Iíve wrote him and heís gotten those letters, Iím just anxious for him to get moved already I want my calls back. Also, do you know if ALL calls have been cut to 20 mins? Or is it just stateville reception that calls are shorter? Lastly, this past saturdays call he said they havenít told him much I know you said it depends on diff things how long it takes for him to be moved, will they be in contact with him or will they just pull him when theyíre ready to move him? Thanks for all of your help and advice.

Youíre welcome. I just know, idr how. Becuz Iím an IDOC stalker lol. His photo will change by 10am on wed thatís how youíll know heís moving and by thur morning his location will change but youíll get a vine notification Wednesday. All calls are back to 20 now. The 30 was for a year test run. Thereís a 35 minute reset now after they use the 20 to eliminate back to backs and allow more people to use the phone (which is never gonna happen cuz theyíre controlled by the inmates). Did you put a little $ on his books he can shop once a month at nrc and you never know what week that is. Itís so miserable there. The $ will follow him and after heís moved to his parent you can add more so he has it immediate and can get his clothing and pillow and stuff. I think with all of the new year reclassifications within the joints (hill is going to max, so is Pinckney) there is a lot of shuffling of inmates right now as well as warden replacement going on so I feel like it may be awhile for you. But if heís been in before, has his pin obviously if heís calling then maybe. Is he in for an X or TIS 85% charge? Ask him if heís seen the counselor yet and been to medical then youíll have a little better idea of time. I ask becuz if you think heíll be a level 3,2 or max then it may be longer than a minimum.

I am definitely on the same page as you I literally stalk every single thing I can lol hence why I have money on the phone already, I am aware of the 10am thing, I tell you I really am Ďcrazyí when it comes to these things. He definitely has a pin, he was recently there last year (2019) so maybe thatís why he was able to reactivate to easily? As far as others so much having to wait if itís their first time in? I definitely have a feeling itís going to be awhile, he did tell me about 2 weeks before he went to nrc and he was going based off the last time he was there which was august 2018. I asked him this past Saturday (after reading the different screenings heís have to go through haha) what heís done like has anyone pulled him out for anything (medical, etc) and he said nothing that he stays in his cell all day long and went on to talk about what he does when heís in his cell, etc. so from the looks of it it seems like they havenít pulled him out for anything but then again he mightíve just not mentioned that bc thatís what theyíre suppose to do there so he didnít see it as important to say, you know.. ive read on another thread that some people were actually calling the counselor themselves from out here to ask an update, is that possible? Lol what do you even say? And from my understanding he should be at a medium or below... he has a class 2 if thatís any helpful.

You can call and ask for a counselor but if he hasnít been thru medical or classification yet then thereís really no point yet

What exactly should I ask? I apologize if that sounds stupid but if I straight out ask for time estimate for his transfer, they might not want to give that out, you know? Are they usually helpful and nice about it?
