What are the processing like? What can you bring and not bring? Where can you park? Any advice and tips would be so helpful
Hi and welcome to PTO.. The colors that are not allowed are the same as other prisons. No orange, blue jeans, tan, camouflage, but I've seen ladies wear different colors mixed together, and they were allowed in. Also nothing to tight and revealing. It would be a good idea, to bring a change of clothes. There is a parking lot where you can park. Only a clear coin purse is allowed, where you can have up to $50.00 in $1.00 dollar bills, or change, and one car key. There is a change machine inside. The ranch is more laid back, than inside the walls. If you need more information, feel free to PM me, or any of the PTO staff..

Default Visiting form

Does anyone know how long it's taking to get approved for visiting. Alot of these threads are from 2013-2014. So maybe things have changed since then? Thanks in advance

Ok thanks for your quick response. It's been 7 years since I've been through this process. Thought I'd never have to deal with it again.

1 clear blue or black pen
3 no 2 pencils
500 sheet writting paper
2 book of stamps
40 envelopes or
40 stamped envelopes
10 4◊6 pictures no Polaroid

That's all I've been sending my husband. They sent me the paper of what they allowed but I lost it.

This link is rather old but shows what you can and cannot send.

as far as where to send the visiting application.....this link gives a bit of info too.
http://prisontalk.com/forums/showpos...01&postcount=3

You would send it to the attention of the visiting sgt.
fill it out completely and leave nothing out (any legal issues past or present)

Default Lockers in processing

So my husband is getting transferred to DVI from Folsom within the next month and I was just wondering I come from Far Vegas to visit on either train or bus so I was wondering do they have lockers in the processing so I can put my purse in there and do they have a Welcome House nearby

Default Newbie

Hi,

This is all super new and a bit overwhelming. I was approved to visit a friend this weekend. I have read the visiting information packet... my friend is urrently in reception, so I know itís a non contact visit. Basically should I just take in my car keys and ID? I donít have a clear purse (and the no wire bra thing is interesting) so just wondering since itís a non contact visit is it still as strict as a contact visit? Anybody know?

Thanks in advance

Hi, all visitors are treated the same, contact an reception You go through a metal detector so no under wire bras. Unless you take the wire out. Otherwise your visit will be denied.

Also if you plan on taking money to buy from the vending machines you dnt need a clear purse. Just put in a Ziploc bag. Or sandwich bag. As long as its clear.

Do you know if the inmate is notified days in advance of their visit, or are they notified the day of?
