Does anyone know if hutchins state jail allows children to send colored coloring pages to their daddy? My son tried to send him one when he was in county and it got sent back as contraband, so idk if state jail was any different.
Even if its not Hutchins, does the jail or prison your LO is in allow that?

where my babe is at he is able to receive the pages my daughter colors for him

Where J is at, we send him pages from coloring books all the time. My son and i both send him pictures we color!!

thanks ladies... as i type this my son is crying he wants his daddy and all the comforting in the world isnt helping. im trying to be strong for both of us, and let him send daddy letters and stuff... but my heart is breaking for my little guy

In WA we can, but it is strict. No crayons, glitter, stickers, etc. Just markers or colored pencils.

I would check the state your LO is in, and see if they list it as a no no.
In my county, no crayons.
But colored pencils were ok.

My husband is in the Beto unit in Tennessee Colony TX. Our boys colored him pics out of a coloring book and I mailed them out when he was in the Gurney unit and they returned the pages back to me. Obviously they dont allow coloring book pgs. I wonder too if its like that in all of the units or just Gurney unit.

Well I called the unit (hes in hutchins state jail) and they said he can get them, but the crayon cannot be "heavy". idk what the difference is so i had my son color on a blank sheet and sent it. so we'll see what happens. fingers crossed!
