Hi everyone..hope everyone is doing good. Getting ready to move on Saturday...and my husbands mom is still hanging on. Well.my husband just called..he got a ticket for his shirt tail untucked at chow. He now has one day LOP. Does this go on his record? This is his first ticket..I worry about parole. A few of the guys said to watch out becsuse the guards at Ojibway are ticket happy. Wonderful..I hope everyone is getting ready for spring..its rainy here in Grand Rapids. Keep smiling ladies we can do this.

No he goes before the parole board soon. He has a date. I am praying for the best outcome. He hasn't done anything violent or too serious just stupid. I love him and hope they decide to give him a chance. He will have been in for 2 years by his erd date.

You're right, Tim said you really have to watch it. No, that would be a minor ticket that the parole board wouldn't even see. I think that it is dealt with in the facility. If he gets a lot of minor tickets then it would be another story. Or fighting, etc. I hope my information is correct. Someone out there will know the answer.
If she isn't suffering too much I am very happy that his mom is hanging on for both of your sakes. This would be a tough blow for him. It's raining here as well. Happy Spring ladies! Keep posting. We are keeping each other up during these trying times.

I really think the guards are ticket happy right now too. My husband got one the other day on store day for loitering in the hall and did yesterday on LOP. Then while on LOP they brought him another ticket for being up on the hill. When the guard gave it to him he said yep I'm guility I was there & didnt fight it. So he signed it right away. Then when they gave him his copy he realized that the dates were wrong & the ticket should've been thrown out. When he went to the Sgt about it he told my husband oh well you shouldnt have signed it. They are playing dirty right now so hopefully everyone's loved one's are aware. He got 5 days LOP starting Wednesday for it. Which another guard that my husband knows from when he was there before said that amount of LOP for not having any tickets in 14mos is a little excessive.

Dont worry about minor tickets, the parole board doesnt see them. Its the class 1 major tickets that they see..

I'll be praying for you & him when he goes in front of the parole board. Are you going as his representative? Tell him not to get any major tickets before seeing them..

He's trying to lay low. Not mix it up with anyone really. He said they are really a lot more strict than St. Louis. That place was a madhouse. I thank you for your prayers. I am not, I wanted his mom to do it. We all wrote letters. He said that he didn't think that it would make a difference. I told her to go anyway. Oh well...I'm sending my prayers along with yours.

I'm sure all will go well when he sees the parole board. I thought letters would help too but I dont know for sure that they even read them. I know if the victim writes a letter they sure will read that but I dont know about family & friends letters.

There's no victim. Just himself. :-( And us because we have to ride this with him...
I'm praying daily.

I just want to say that letters do help. We weren't able to make it to the parole hearing, but my daughter, grandson, my husband & myself wrote letters.
We received a letter from the parole board thanking us for our letters & they will be kept in his file.

Thanks for all of your support. I am so happy to have more ladies to discuss my worries with. I am so excited and looking at that ticker is cheering me up. It's been a long haul. Not as long as some but 2 years is long enough. lol :-) Hope all is well in no man's land today. Tim said that the sun was shining again today and snow is melting. TC&GB

Hope everyone is doing well.. We had snow flurries yesterday instead of rain. I liked the change cuz at least it wasnt sticking to the ground & flooding my front yard. Come on warm weather, where are you????

Lol! I can recall a few of those conversations! Oh...what a sweet man! I usually rant in a letter. He says you usually do this once a month. He loves me and I just pray that it is over soon. We can ride this out. Thanks so much!

Welcome to the Ojibway thread joneswife22! We are practically a group now :-) Yay! It was almost crowded in that little room when we were there. You could tell the guards were excited to have something to break up the monotony! I hope that I get to see him again before he is home but it is an expensive trip and a long haul!!!! Most of all, I pray he makes his erd. He's a great guy and deserves a second chance. With all of these budget cuts you would think they would send a few home on tether. ;-) yeah right! lol

Well I am missing me some him especially with this little warm up. I am thinking of how he would be ticking me off trying to do too much yardwork! I'd even take his nagging right now. What would you ladies be doing, besides the obvious lol ;-), with your significant other as the weather warms up?

My husband & I were just talking about this. If he was home he'd be running his asphalt business & I'd be helping but staying home with our boys. We then laughed cuz I said well at least this time when you come home I cant get knocked up. Being pregnant for my boys was alot harder since they are only 14mos apart.

I can't imagine if my kids were that close. I won't complain then, mine are a little more than 4 years apart. Lol. Tim has 2 and I have 2. We don't have any together. :-( I'm too old to start over now. 4 is enough and they are all adorable. I'm concerned about a job when he gets home. What a blessing that you two have built a business together and he can just slide right into it. I know that he is a hard worker, I just want someone to give him a chance to prove himself.

Hello, Hello, Hello!!! Is anyone out there? Happy Spring. Tim went before the board yesterday and now begins the wait...up to two weeks. It's in God's hands as it always was.
