HWH's in Austin

Does anyone know of how many and where are the HWH's in Austin? My husband said he can choose 3 when his time comes. Are they co-ed or men only and how exactly do they work?

Also, does anyone know about the move from Hamilton on Dec. 1st, which of the IPTC units they are going to be sent to???

I talked to Greg Bush this first part of the week. He is head over the department that handles the HWH. He told me that they try to send them to a HWH near the county of conviction. But the amount of HWH's and the number of people waiting they go to the first avialable. He didn't say anything about them getting to choose 3. He said that there are 20 TTC HEH in Texas. David said that they are moving all the state offenders out of Havins. He said they now have 2 buildings empty.

wow - so my guess is that Jim will go to Havins as well. We are hoping he will get moved Dec. 1st. Keep me updated Joy - thank you for all your help.

Does anyone know about the HWH's in Austin and how they are run? I would really like to know if anyone know firsthand that maybe has stayed in one.
