Default ReFraming Justice Day

** So, if I put the wrong title or thread then let me know and you could fix it or get rid of it...??**

From ASFC Arizona:

Hello, ReFraming Justice Supporters!!!

This is the ONLY email you will receive regarding ReFraming Justice Day, so keep it handy!

First, the big news of the day: WE HAVE A BILL NUMBER: #HB2270! The bill is sponsored by Rep. Walt Blackman, R-Snowflake. Co-sponsors will be announced soon. In the meantime, AFSC-AZ had this commentary published today in Tucson Weekly. Additionally, AFSC-AZ Program Director Caroline Isaacs will be on 12 News’ “Sunday Square-Off” with Brahm Resnik at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 20.

ReFraming Justice Day, 10 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, Rose Garden @ the State Capitol
We expect everyone to show up by 9:30 a.m. at the Arizona State Capitol, 1700 W. Washington St., Phoenix, AZ 85007. (To find it on Google Maps, you must search for “Arizona Capitol Museum”.) The best parking at the Capitol is between Jefferson and Adams, east of 17th Ave. by Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza. There are visitor parking spaces available in both of these lots. NOTE: Jefferson and Adams are both one-way streets, so if you accidentally pass the entrance to parking, you will make left turns to return to the parking lot entrances. See the attached map for details.

Our press conference will be on the lawn of the Rose Garden. From the parking lot at Wesley Bolin Plaza, walk west toward the Arizona State Capitol. After crossing 17th Ave., you will be in the center between the House of Representatives and the Senate, facing the Arizona Capitol Museum. From there, walk northwest, between the House of Representatives and the Museum building, to a courtyard. Once there, you should see AFSC-AZ banners, staff and tables.

The press conference featuring Orange Is the New Black author Piper Kerman, Pat Nolan of the American Conservative Union, our ReFraming Justice pre-selected speakers, and project coordinators from AFSC-AZ will begin promptly at 10 a.m. After follow-up questions from online, print, radio and TV reporters, we expect the press conference will conclude at 11:30 a.m.

If any of your questions about ReFraming Justice Day have not been answered, please contact me. Otherwise, we’ll see you all Tuesday!

In Solidarity,
Joe Watson
