Default Early Release Dates

Just wanted to let everyone know that NKSP is starting the required early release dates to inmates serving 80% of their sentences. My son was scheduled for a September 10, 2014 release date. His new date is August 5, 2014. It's only a month, but any amount of time that brings him home sooner to his family is a blessing.

Sure would be nice if they'd give the minimums serving 50% their damn early release dates!! Jerks. My fiancee is scheduled to be released from NKSP reception on July 7.

So unfair. I feel like since its his first offense he should get something. Oh well I'm just hoping he learns from this. I miss him horribly this week.

Life is unfair. My man qualifies for an early release under the court order from the Feds and should be home in only a couple of weeks instead of seven, but CDCR refuses to give minimum custody inmates serving 50% their drop down to 35% as ordered by the court AND written into the order by CDCR themselves, due to some fallacious nonsense about a lack of participation in fire camp. He tells me they've been sending a LOT of guys out to Jamestown and Susanville for training, and his cellie was just endorsed to fire camp. Talk about unfair...

You can call R&R to find out what time they are releasing inmates these days.

I called R&R this morning. Have to be there between 7-7:30. Go to the visiting sgt and tell them who you're there to pick up. They said it could be up to 2-3 hours until he walks through the gate. Depending on how long paperwork and processing takes. Hope this helps. I'm getting so excited!!

They can get anything for dress outs.... Just make sure to call R&R to see how you can send them and if you need to write anything specific on the box. They will hold the dress outs in R&R until his release date, but there is a very specific window of time when you can send them. I always send brand new underclothes, new shoes, and a nice shirt

Default Dress Outs info & details please!!

My man is being released from NKSP on July 7th, and I'm getting his dress outs ready to mail on Monday. I've been trying to find out some info...what do you ladies send? I've got a shirt, Dickies shorts he loves, boxers, socks and shoes. Can I send a belt? How do I address the box? Same as I do with letters? Or is there a different place I mail them? Tips and help please!

Not sure how the State prisons do it but the Federal prison my husband is in gave him a form to mail with a list of the clothing items he wanted, belt included. I also had to enclose with the clothing a copy of the form that way the prison knew the package was approved.
And the form had the return address on it which was the same as the one used for letters.

Well, I mailed them on Monday and was told 3 days for delivery, so I'll start calling on Friday to make sure they're waiting for him.

One change of clothes, shoes and his belt. I mailed them USPS on Monday and they've arrived already.
