Hi,
The IFC has an email address for anyone who has concerns or suggestions. We will bring them to the council meeting and hopefully reslove any issues. It is a process but we are committed to getting things
done. The next IFC meeting is 12/17/10.

You can email us at: mulecreekifc@yahoo.com

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to pass on some info about what happened at the IFC. The vendor has complained that A yard has excessive refunds and it's averaging between 40-50 refunds per weekend. If it continues, they will make a " Buy at your own risk" policy. Meaning, if you use the machines and lose food or money, that's on you. B and C yard is at 8-10 refunds on the weekends. Please pass the info along because it would be sad if all of us have to suffer because of some people taking advantage.

There will be staff turn overs by February in all areas. The prison is asking that we be patient while this occurs. They understand that there may be frustrations since some people are use to their visiting guards but everyone must bid on positions.

Donations of sports equipment is badly needed. Footballs, Soccor balls, baseballs, handballs, mits, metal bats,etc... is wanted. The sports department will not get money for anymore equipment, so please help out.

I wish all of you a very Happy Holiday.

I dont have a lot of knowledge regarding Restitution but I'm more than happy to ask. We were told that the equipment was in poor shape and not enough for the inmates to use.

Hi Joy,

My understanding is that restitution goes back to the county that they were convicted in. It's to pay back the "victims" and the courts and such.

I'm not 100% sure but if I remember correctly that is what I was told.

Monkey,

Where do we take the sporting equipment? And can we request specifically which yard it goes to? My guy has started playing football so I'd love to donate a football to A yard for him and his friends to play with.

I just re-read you message and I hate to say it but I giggled when I read metal bats. I guess they are right... us visitors do bring weapons into the institution. LOL

Sorry, I'm in a giggly mood today and that just struck me as funny.

All donations for sports equipment can go to the visitor processing bldg. You can specify which yard you would like it for but that doesn't mean it will go there. All donations will go to the sports dept and they decide where the need is.

sounds good. I got a gift card from work for Christmas so I think I'm gonna pick up a few things before my next visit.

Hope you are doing well! Thanks for all the info.

Most of the sporting equipment can just be brought into Visitor Processing and given to an officer. I think Baseball mitts and a couple of other things may need a form filled for the dontaion. Whatever you bring, they will go through it and let you know if a form needs to be filled out.

Any other items you would like to donate, I would also bring in and fill out the green donation forms. You can ask the SGT or LT and they will help you.

The sports department at Mule Creek is in need of recreational equipment. All items donated will require you to fill out a donation form which can be obtained at the visiting desk, once that is done, the staff will accept your donation.

The following are items and amounts in greatest need.

150-Softballs
40-Basketballs
20-Handballs
12-Soccer balls
4-sets of Bolco Strapless Bases

Hi all-Is it possible to get an update from the last two meetings? There are no minutes available at the prison from the April meeting and there should have been a meeting last Friday as well.

Thank You

Did they stop having meetings? I will be visiting regularly so I am very interested in the IFC. If I need anything I will send an email to the address listed above however it would be nice for someone to keep us all updated here on this forum.

Thanks!
