Hi CHASED .... Orientation for my husband lasted almost 3 weeks but his yard has also been on Lockdown since he got there on Dec 12th, so every visit I've had with him has been behind glass and only for an hour. I'm from the Sac area so my drive is nearly 4 hours but an hour is better than nothing so I'll take the hour. Just call the Friday before you go to check if they are on Lockdown status or not.

Thank you! I will be driving from San Francisco, it's a bit further and for an hour visit..bummer but any visit is better than no visit.

Can you fill me in on the dress code? Every facility tends to have their own rules.

They aren't too strict. I've been able to visit every weekend and have not been questioned once. Just wear black and you'll be fine. They do not allow any grey. Of course no blue jeans. As for clothing being tight, a girl was wearing skin tight sweats and they allowed her to visit.

I made my first trip up this weekend. Surprisingly enough everyone was VERY nice and super helpful. Processing was easy and visits aren't terminated which is awesome.

Did you try the main number? 530-251-5100, listen for the extension for 'records'.

At our old prison it took about a month to be approved for visits. And we just transferred here and he was off orientation in 2 weeks. Hope that helps.

Yes, I believe so. Each facility we've been too there has been about a 2 week orientation period.

I called and spoke with the visiting department when we transferred. I was told it's typically 10-14 days, but could be longer.

Hello,
I was notified by our friend that he received a bus ticket and is waiting for the bus. He filed for hardship awhile back. My husband and I were planning on making a visit the weekend of July 13. Does anyone have the information on how to contact his counselor? I know the counselors name and I was trying to find the information to make sure that if we make the 4/5 hour trip that we are not greeted with the "sorry he has been transferred".
Thank you so very much!

they can do whatever they wish to do.
One would THINK that if he was endorsed to COR that would be where he would go.
But I dont think it makes any difference, if they had another bed open up that he was *qualified* for, they could and may send him to that facility.
I hope that he does go closer to family. That would make sense (hence why I wouldnt bet on it)
Here's to hoping he goes to COR

Hi I was wondering if anyone knew who the visiting lieutenant or how to get a hold of the warden at hdsp regarding visiting denial and harassment from one of the officers I wrote a letter to the warden however I'm fearful that the visiting g officer will intercept the letter and disregard my information. I'm stressed out they cut off are fv for a petty reason and now denied my contact visits for no reason stating my drivers license isn't valid Wich is in correct and I set them proof I called today and the ass answered the phone and said 30 to 60 days just to review that it's valid our anniversary is in two weeks and I'm at my worts end with these people. Any advice ?

Is anyone else experiencing long orientation waits? My husband has been here 2 1/2 weeks and still in orientation. I talked to his counselor yesterday and she can't even guarantee me it will happen this week.
