Default HepC Medical Lawsuits Against CDCR

This is the firm who is representing my husbands hep C case. They expect to have suits into the THOUSANDS. I'm including a link to their website if you want to get more information from them. (The 602 process needs to be started before they can step in).

Controversy of care
By Ann Coppola, News Reporter 12/15/2008

The law firm of Khorrami, Pollard & Abir is currently filing hundreds of individual lawsuits on behalf of California inmates against the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for failure to properly treat inmates with hepatitis C. The firm expects the total number of plaintiffs to grow into the thousands.
“We’re suing on behalf of inmates who didn’t get treatment prior to the change in protocols,” Ravis says. “They’re the ones who have damaged livers.”

i wonder if I should tell them Chris's story even though he is no longer around to be added to the law suit. He was tested positive for Hep C, but of course they did nothing for him. When he got really sick Christmas of 06 they kept telling him he would be sent out for tests but of course he never had any of the tests. They did nothing for him before he was released and by the time he was released it was to late to get any treatment and he passed away 7 months after his release from complications of the Hep. C.

Shaa- If Chris has any children they may be able to file a wrongful death suit on his behalf. It wouldn't hurt for you to call Mark Ravis and find out.
