Default Will I be able to visit if I have a warrant?

Hi. My boyfriend d is being extradited to colorado from florida on a felony fugitive warrant for habbitual dui. Hes obviously looking at some time. My question is I have a non extraditable warrant in Alabama. Not even sure what its for, I think writing a bad check when I was like 28. (I'm 37 now) anyway will I still be able to visit him while he is in prison with that warrant? Its going to be expensive so I need to start putting away $ if I'm able to

I don't believe we will be able to answer that question here on prisontalk. We are just like you. Women (and men) waiting on our loved ones. You probably need to contact the Department of Corrections in Colorado Springs. The headquarters - and tell the operator and see if she can direct you to the right person to answer your question.

If you get approved 9 times out of 10 they will arrest you as soon as you enter the prison. No take care of your warrent and then you won't have to worry about that.

This is exactly correct. If you have an active warrant and apply, if you are lucky you will be denied. If not, once you get checked in, you will be pulled out of the visiting room and the county sheriff will be there. I have seen this several times through the years. In fact, it almost happened to my husband's granddaughter when I took her. Luckily the visiting officer called me before the visit to give me a heads up because she was a juvenile.

Yes unfortunately if you get approved for visiting you will be arrested for any outstanding warrants when you enter the prison. You need to sort out that warrant then you will be free to visit.

Watched someone get arrested at visitation for outstanding warrant two weekends ago. Don't risk it. Take care of the warrant first.
