Question What can they receive via mail at CRC???

I'm sorry, I have tons of questions, but this is all knew to me and I have learned so much from this forum already.

I was just wondering what the limit was on things when sending mail to an inmate at CRC. They all seem to be different and I can't find anywhere via their site that specifies what they can and cannot receive.

Can I send books, crossword puzzles, anything like that???

Any info would be appreciated! Thank you!!

Post This is his parent institution

His sentence isn't very long, so he was told he wouldn't be getting moved elsewhere. He has to spend at least 30 days in before his attorney can file for a judicial release and since the max he would have to spend if he didn't get a judicial release, is 11 months. Trust me, he will be bored out of his mind....we're talking about someone who can't sit still for 2 seconds, so I'm just trying to think of ways to keep him busy so that he's not thinking about how long he is there.

I'm surprised that he knows CRC will be his parent institution prior to going there. Most inmates regardless of their sentence length do not find out that information until after they have been evaluated at the reception center.
I sent my brother word search puzzles when he was there but they were removed from my letter to him. However, for the most accurate and up to date information call CRC and ask. Two things about Ohio's prison system, it seems to be very inconsistent with its rules and regulations and the regulations seem to be changed on a whim and without notice.

Well, at least this is what his attorney is saying so far. I will call them when I know he is on his way there, which should be today or tomorrow. Thanks for the info.
