Default ISP Visitation & Dress Code Thread

Hey everyone, okay so I am new to the girlfriend of a inmate thing and judging by some of the things I have read you guys are obviously the ones who can help me. My first question is that my love was recently sent to Ironwood and my visiting form was approved, while he was in reception, will that information transfer over since he was relocated? or do I need 2 tell him 2 send me another one??

The approval will br valid for 2 years ... it will follow him to whatever prison he may be at. Once the 2 year period has expired you will need to submit a new application and the process wikl start over. Hope this helps .... and Welcome to PTO!!!

hello and welcome to PTO and ISP. Ask any question u may have because chances are someone on here will have an answer or willbe able to direct you to where u can find the answer. I know that when they get there, they need to be classified and that takes up to 14 days. Mine got classified in less than 14 days so hopefully yours will too. Until tey get classified, all visits are behind glass and scheduled and i i believe 2 hours. They cant have contact viits until they are classified and get their blues. Once he is classified, you can have contact visits. I called every tuesday and thursday because thats when they do the classifying. I found out like that and i went that weekend. Good luck. Oh, he can call once he gets to his yard. Good luck and welcome.

i think that there is part that you can put your previous address (within the last 2 years)... thats what i did cuz i moved around the time that i turned in the form... i put down my new address under current addy and my ld has my old address... i didnt have any problems... so i would assume that it was ok... if in doubt give em a call.. better safe than sorry... and in the mean time get a ld that has your current addy... hope i helped a lil...

Hello ladies visiting at Ironwood is pretty much the same as any prison u have visited if u have an appointment scheduled they call them by the times, walk-ins are after 11 and u are allowed 50.00 dollars per adult it can b in 1's or in quarters!! Its different if ur man/husband is in ad seg cuz if they are in the hole u make appointments on Tues and are only allowed 1 hr behind glass!! And well my husband is in the hole so I only get to visit twice a month hope this info helps u out!!

for lots of recent info re dress code etc see earlier posts in this thread; I know I have written a lot about it, including some in the past six months. you have to watch out for the wrong colors, for transparency (very strict), for no metal in bra (pack 'em into a sports bra--I'm a 44 DDDD and I've managed with a Hanes sports bra and very careful posture and adjusting!); for making sure the outlines of a bra cannot be seen, that the armholes don't show the bra, etc etc etc. A lot of people just wear black and white but i try to do colors (red, purple, yellow, flowered, etc) as otherwise it gets too grim. Have fun and good luck!
