Does anyone know what number to call to find out if an inmate can get a visit or not and are there only certain days/times that you can call for that information?

Hey doll welcome back!Responding back to piercingsÖ I wore my dermal in for years never went off walking through the metal detectors. But it also depends on where you have it. if its in a visible place i have seen then ask people to take them out, cut them out or maybe provide a doctors note. Mine was on the lower part of my neck chest area like a neckless would go so I would just cover with shirt. I still wear my belly piercing as well. but its really up to you if you want to risk it. mine were coverable.

I feel like I've read this 100 times here but I don't remember what folks have said.

The mother of my husband's kids asked me what we would need to do to get them in with me for a visit. They are under 18 and I am not a legal guardian.

Application?
ID requirements?
Do I need a notarized letter from their mom?

This would be HUGE in terms of family growth so of course I want it to go as smoothly as possible.

Thanks in advance!

There is a form on the cdcr website, have the legal guardian fill it out and get it notorized giving you permission, you must also have their birth certificates.

Thank you! Perfect. I see it's on the final page of the visiting handbook.

Change of plans. Disregard and thanks for the help, all!

Hey y'all...I know it's a little early and I'll keep trying other options, but if anyone is cancelling for Sat. Dec 5th, I would love to get that spot.

Thanks!

I see that the 25th is up there. Didn't the VPASS email say they would open on the 13th? I'm confused...

Hey! You know what... I don't even get the emails. I read it on the website that it would be open this Sunday so... idk what the heck they did but how inconvenient. My sister told me about it being open a week early. Ugh... I hope I don't have to be out there at 11 but I'll do it lol

Hi Ladies my husband is finally getting his visits back!!! Our son and I can't wait to see him. The last time we saw him was the end of May (which was supposed to be our first contact visit in over 2 years due to a shu term) but when we got inside the visiting room the CO informed me he had his visits taken away. After I drove 5 and a half hours and called that week to confirm. Luckily I was able to work him for a non contact visit but we only got 45 minutes and that was that. So now that 6 months are over I can not wait to finally be in his arms and our 8 year old son can't wait to see his Daddy. Unfortunately Im not good with VPass and haven't had great luck with booking appointments. So Im asking any of you wonderful ladies if any of you cancelS or no anyone who plans to please please let me know. I was able to book one for New Years weekend on January 2nd at 8am. I am looking for January 1st and January 3rd as well. New Years weekend is the weekend Im really trying to plan for.. Possibly any visits for Christmas and Christmas weekend as well. I just really need to see my husband, touch him, hug him its been almost 3 years and a little boy #1 Christmas present was wanting to see his Daddy soon. Thank you please send me a PM if you are able to help.

Hi Everyone, New to this forum. I have a friend in North Kern and I plan to visit in February. This will be my first visit to an american prison and the first visit to America. I have read all about the clothing restrictions and have brought new clothes and Bra!!!! to comply. However, I was going to get a taxi from Delano to the prison. But someone said some prisons don't allow taxi's?? (I can not hire a car as I have health issues which prevent me from driving at the moment.) Is this true for Kern Valley? Any advice would be welcome. Thank you

This is the thread for KVSP. not NKSP two different prisons. You should probably post in the other forum for correct info. You can also try contacting friends outside at NKSP I believe they help with transportation but it must be scheduled ahead of time
Good luck to you
