How is High Desert? Are visits behind a glass or no glass?

My ex is currently at Clark County and he is accepting he might have to ride out to High Desert depending on what happens with his case. Its in the realm of possibilities.. I have googled and not like what I have seen but I have spoken to people who said its not that bad.

Is visitation really difficult to schedule? Are you behind a glass or do you get to actually touch them? If i come from out of state will they allow me to do both visitation slots?
