Per Corrlinks Facebook page, USP Beaumont is on Lockdown. Someone called over there this morning and lockdown was going strong.
Hopefully you here from your hubby soon!

There is no way to tell how long, right? I would think not. This is my/his first LD. He has only been there since March. This sucks! Had a visit planned for the 4th!

Default corrlinks fb page?

anyone have the link? I searched, but the version I see hasn't been updated since January!

Got a letter yesterday, definitely on lockdown. No details though.

I found a website that stated on June 21st, 2013 an inmate assaulted a drug treatment specialist. It will not allow me to post the url, it says, "you are only allowed to post URLS to other sites after you have made 25 posts or more."
Sorry I am still new to this forum. The website is cpl33

I am to new to post a link but the website that has incident reports is a dot info page. Not much information other than the incident on the 21st. This is the longest LD that I have had to wait out but I am sure he is used to them since he has been in since 2002. Hopefully it will be over before the 4th so you can visit, all visitation is canceled during a lockdown.

WAIT!...thats weird, it just dawned on me (and I double checked my cell phone call logs) the incident says JUNE 21st (which was a FRIDAY) I last spoke to my hubby on SATURDAY, June 22nd for 5 minutes @3:30pm (California time....5:30pm Beaumont, TX time)...thats a lil odd....just sayn' ...It must not have been too too bad if they waited a whole day to go on complete lockdown...so Im hoping this is over soon..???

I got my last message and call from my husband Saturday the 22nd as well. It is odd. I wish they would just let them off LD. I hate this mass punishment crap.

When I got thru to Beaumont this morning to ask about USP visiting days and hours...he also cut me off and said "but maam, there wont be any visits this weekend at all, they are on lockdown" ..I asked again if they knew when it would be lifted, he said "no we do not" ...I know some of you were planning a visit this weekend...keep praying...you never know (I just wanted to share what I was told...sorry it isnt good news)

okay I just got my second snail mail tonight from my hubby and it is dated June 27th and he states that they will be on lock down for 2 weeks from what he heard.... so if there is any truth in that, than it looks like we are not looking to have the lockdown lifted any sooner than July 10th..arrrg... well we made it this far I'm looking forward to only 8 more days at this point before we get an email or phone call.

I'm also guessing they can't order any commissary, because he said he was all out of his extra foods... and all they are getting to eat is peanut butter and jelly sandwiches =(... he also said this lockdown was totally unexpected... so from me just guessing.. being that they went on lockdown apparently from what it seems like .. between the incident date report and getting a phone call the next day still...is something happened one day & than the next day they went on lockdown and it sounds like from his letter that they were all searched... so I am guessing nothing major or serious happened which is a good thing..... my thoughts anyways.

I have a pretty good amount of information if anyone needs any. Theres been alot going on there at Beaumont. Hopefully they are let back up from lockdown soon. My boyfriend says majority of the time when they are locked down they dont get back up in the middle of the week. So since they didnt get up today its gonna be until next monday most likely :/

Just got a snail mail from my babe. Beaumont is still on lockdown. He has been written up and is in the hole (well actually still locked in his cell but has a hole tag on the door). He refused to go to work while they are on lockdown. He says that if you go to work while on lockdown that gets you in trouble with the other inmates. He has been in several different prisons over the last 12 years and in four of them if you went to work while everyone is locked down when they did come up again you get attacked. So when they came to get him to go to work he just said no not till you let us all up. He doesn't know what they are planning to do once the LD is up but is pretty sure he is fired and may even go to the hole. I had been planning to go visit once the lockdown was over, but I may have to wait a bit more on that because I am pretty sure they are not allowed to have visits while they are in the hole.

First time I've checkin in a couple of weeks. I was there on June 22 and received a Corr Links message on July 4, so I was unaware they were back on lockdown. What a pain! I was thinking of going out this Saturday. Guess I'd better check first.

So i got a letter yesterday from my boyfriend that was dated on Fourth of July. He said the warden updated them on what was going on. I guess the warden needs to check the cells of inmates for weapons and stuff like that. The warden only completed about 6 out of the 12 units. He was gonna try and do 3 more by the end of last week. So hopefully they just need the last 3 this week! Then they were gonna let them out asap. The inmates have been good so hopefully no more lockdowns! :/ the end of last week they turned their tvs back on & they had a graduation ceremony for the inmates who completed their g.e.d a while ago. The program people begged the warden to still have the ceremony so some inmates got to get out of their cell for a bit for that. & they allowed them to take quick showers. Some inmates made it to the computer to send a quick corrlinks message and others were unsuccessful lol. But they are still locked down! Hopefully tomorrow or thursday they will come out but maybe we should all re-plan on going to visit them until the end of the month or next month cause things still arent gonna be running smoothly for a while. They can easily be put back on lockdown at any moment after they get back out from this LD. Fingers crossed.

I have been thinking about changing my visit to next month. Until they are back up I won't know how much trouble my guy is in for not leaving his cell to go to work.
